Monthly Rentals in Ottupatti

This is a good place to stay. I stayed only one night third time. I will choose this place when I return to Palani next time.

Without a doubt, one of the best places I have stayed in Kodaikanal. Really peaceful in the midst of the plantation. Great host, great hospitality. The caretaker Vasanthi akka is a sweetheart and took care of us so well. And she cooked some tasty homely food and was there to help us a call or msg away. My dad and my partner had a wonderful time too. The property farm tour Vasanthi akka took us on was beautiful and enlightening. The highlight was we got a chance to directly pluck some fresh natural tangerines and passion fruits from the tree. It was soulful. We had a talkative and loving visitor every night (the cat) chilling with us at the bon fire asking for pets. And it was a full moon night when we were there and we could see the big graceful moon through the trees and the whole forest was lit with moonlight. Lot of flora and fauna. The only issue we had was the beds were cold and wasn’t warming us up. We had to wrap ourselves in multiple blankets. A heater in the room was needed.

Home after home. We had a great stay

This rustic beauty is a hidden gem nestled in the wilderness, offering incredible views of the mountains and free bird concerts at dusk and at dawn. If you want a relaxing and peaceful getaway with your loved ones this place is an excellent option. And, you won’t need to worry about food and safety, as Mehdi and the caretakers will always be there to help you. Of course, we were told that we could be left completely to ourselves if we wished that, so you have that option as well. This plan also has the advantage of a private viewpoint from a steep precipice, which may be rare, especially for a place that’s affordable. Access to this place itself is a bit of adventure, as it involves 2 kms of off-roading. Although, access to the areas within the premises are steep, so older people have to watch out. Also, the tap water is a bit muddy if you care about it. Overall though we thoroughly enjoyed our stay there and it’s pity that we couldn’t plan to stay longer. Kudos to Mehdi and his team!
