Vacation rentals with lake access in Chowan County

Kristin and her husband were very accommodating. Despite our late hour of arrival, Kristin’s husband meet us at the door and showed as how to get in. The furniture was comfortable and the vibe was home-y. Would definitely recommend.

This was a great home to stay at as we visited family nearby. We had plenty of space, felt safe, and the lake is so pretty! Frank and Martha were very responsive.

David and Flanna were the ultimate hosts! They exhibited extraordinary hospitality, were so very helpful, and provided wonderful entertainment. David even went above and beyond by cooking a couple of wonderful meals for us! We enjoyed the extra care and attention during our extreme adventure during the snow storm. They were not just incredible hosts but they became our friends! Hope to be back sometime in the future.

Our February stay coincided with so much wind, ice, and snow that getting outside to patio, swing, and other enticements outside were not feasible. However, the layout and setups inside made every hour enjoyable: a beautiful wood bar along the long back window gave us a front row seat of the Albemarle Sound to spend hours mesmerized; fixing our meals in the spacious, very well equipped kitchen was a joy; the décor was lovely, fun, and interesting: the hot tub was even wonderfully warm when snow pelted our faces; we had generous supplies of towels, blankets, and throws; the heating system was quickly responsive; even a carport off the front porch kept our car dry and easy to load despite icy snow all elsewhere: and we caught two magnificent sunsets our first and last nights. Great location close to town, cozy and quiet space, with amazing views!

We enjoyed every moment in this lovely home. The views are stunning, the beds are very comfortable and the house is warm and inviting. We cooked, drink, laughed, fished and napped in the sun. Perfect getaway.

My family and I enjoyed our stay here. The house was immaculately clean. The beds were extremely comfortable. The surrounding views were so beautiful and relaxing. Our 2 dogs enjoyed sniffing around the yards and exploring. Dog treats, bowls, and beds were provided which was a nice touch. We spent the days exploring Edenton and Elizabeth City, and we had cozy movie nights with their smart tv. Restaurants are at least 20 minutes away which wasn’t too bad. There’s a convenience store 5 minutes up the road that also does pizza orders. We tried it one night, and it was super good! We thought this was awesome because the house was in a pretty secluded but peaceful area. Thanks for a great weekend! Definitely made memories here to last a lifetime with my family and fur babies.

Another wonderful stay for our family at Water Winds. The panoramic view is immersive and tranquil in all weather, and games and toys kept our kids easily entertained despite the cold. Look forward to coming back!

Charming house on the water in an equally charming town. We came because we had a family event in Elizabeth City, But would be a wonderful longer stay for family. Hope to come back. Linda was very helpful.
