La Casita Azul - Organic Farm

TylerRating, 5 stars1 month ago
If you are wanting to know anything about moving to Costa Rica and starting life from scratch, building a sustainable life and living off the land… spending a few days with Andi & Angi is a very affordable education! Full disclosure: 1. Getting there: follow their instructions very carefully. Once you turn in between the little store and the church, keep going! The road turns into a rocky path and goes higher and higher into the hills. By this point (if your car has made it this far) you are thinking “surely we must have taken the wrong road” but no, you are on the right road. 4x4 ‘recommended’ 2. Le Casita: this place is very minimalist as far as travel goes. It is essentially a shed, with a moderately hot shower and a toilet. The amenities can be a little shocking but this is quickly forgotten once you meet the hosts. They are AMAZING people who are kind to share their pura vida with you! Jump in and help on the farm, or explore the area’s many trails. Plenty nearby to see & do!

Reserva Atmosfëre

Overall we had a great stay, beautiful and peaceful in the middle of nature - very zen! Unfortunately we arrived at night time and it is difficult to find the first time, especially in the dark and on the dirt roads. I would recommend trying to arrive during daylight if possible. We loved waking up to the sound of the birds and monkeys!

Forest Garden

Adolfo’s grandmother welcomed us and showed us where to park the car etc. She was really nice so we felt at home immediately! :) The little house is really spacious and we had everything we needed! It’s only a 25 min drive to the national park and supermarkets etc are not far away either (we had a rental car so it took us max 5 min). Adolfo answered very quickly when we needed something, thanks again for that! :) We enjoyed our stay a lot and would definitely recommend it!

Very spacious and superbly equipped accommodation with garden, quiet location in good residential area away from the place. Very good and fast communication with Chechey, highly recommend.
