Monthly Rentals in Sedalia

This is my second stay at Terrapin Mountain. After the first stay, I knew I would return. It is a beautiful home with beautiful views. If the weather is good, the roof patio has a gorgeous view of Terrapin Mountain. If the weather is chilly or wet, the picture windows downstairs provide the same view. :) The kitchen is a chef's delight. There's nothing missing, and the appliances are top notch. Knowing this from our first visit, we came planning to cook and thoroughly enjoyed our time in the kitchen. This year we hiked Terrapin Mountain - in the snow! It is a fantastic hike with an outcrop that offers panoramic views. The trailhead is accessible by foot from the property. I highly recommend for those who love cooking, hiking, and beautiful scenery.

What a great little retreat! It was what I would call "just enough" to get away from it all but not too far away. The cabin was not rustic in nature but sufficiently modern. The bunk room provided enough room for kids to sleep and ample hooks for gear and storage. The bed in the loft I believe had a nice foam topper and the bed frame had extra storage built in. The wood stove downstairs was more than enough to warm the house and even if you elected to not use it, the mini-split was more than effective. The bathroom was bright with clean tile work. Lynchburg and Bedford were 30-45 minutes away for exploration, while a direct path to the Blue Ridge parkway was about 15 mins away.

Glasgow House was an amazing place for my wife and I to stay as we waited to close on a house in nearby Lexington. The rented area is spacious and peaceful. We enjoyed the beautiful art on the walls and made good use of the kitchen, which had everything we needed. The back patio was a joy. We spent many mornings watching the spectacular sunrises over the hills and almost as many evenings under a dark sky stargazing and listening for the howls of cayotes and the hoots of owls. Elise and Eric were great hosts and made us feel very welcome. We often enjoyed walking around their property and along the gravel road, which leads to it and runs alongside the clear waters of the South River. The most memorable moments of our stay involved the numerous animals that share the property. The deer (including many fawns), woodchucks, rabbits, and turkeys were plentiful, and we also saw several bald eagles. We are so grateful we had the opportunity to spend some time in such a wonderful place.

Nice country home. Very quiet. Lots of space in the yard. Kitchen is well equipped. We especially loved having the fur babies with us. We would stay again.
