Vacation rentals with lake access in Purbeck District

Absolutely delightful barn. Pristine clean, many personal and welcoming touches, beautifully decorated and a serene, tranquil setting. It’s clear that the barn has been architect-designed as described, the interior structure is amazing. Bobby was a lovely, welcoming host. We had a heating issue during our first night which Bobby resolved immediately upon hearing about it. Fabulously located for Peppa Pig World/ Paultons park and many other attractions nearby including the zoo! We will be back.

We had 3 adults and 6 kids under 4 in the caravan and we had an amazing time. We didnt actually spend that much time in the air b and b as there is so much to do in the local area and the facilities are so good. This is especially good considering it is February! The hosts were so responsive and understanding. We are hoping to come again and recreate a magical stay. We had reservations about so many toddlers in such a small space but it was a great set up. Thanks again

We had an amazing weekend at the cottage! It was the perfect setting for our weekend away! So cosy and surrounded by amazing walks and pubs. Also James and Jane were the best - so helpful and friendly. Definitely would recommend!

We had a wonderful Christmas at Karen's place! The house was beautiful and really spacious - and Karen had made sure we had everything we needed - including all the pots and pans we needed to cook Christmas lunch for 7 in her lovely kitchen! Could not recommend more highly - it was clean, warm, and comfortable - and in a lovely location with a pub a minute's walk away!

We had a lovely short break over the festive period. The cabin had everything we needed, was spacious, comfortable and cosey. We loved the xmas decorations and welcome treats were a lovely suprise. We were a little disappointed at the lack of atmosphere at the shorefield entertainment and clubhouse, having visited previous years we can see how its changed over time. However, we still had a great time and enjoyed the woodland walks and walks to the beach. Communication with the owner was excellent, very helpful snd responsive. The enclosed garden/terrace area was good for our dog. Thanks for a wonderful stay 😀

Wow what an absolute perfect place to stay! The house is gorgeous, and absolutely spotless!! There is literally everything you need, you’ve thought of absolutely everything which makes for the perfect stay, so thank you! Great hosts with a lovely welcome pack and some gorgeous treats which was much appreciated after the 7 hour drive! very responsive, with lots of info provided for you too. We were visiting family and hope to be back soon! Can only echo the best AirBnb comments, definitely agree! Thanks so much :)

Luxurious property in a lovely, peaceful location. The host had thought of every little detail to make it a very relaxing and comfortable stay. The garden and countryside views are beautiful and it was so calming sitting on the deck by the stream. I will definitely be going back.

Lovely tractor house to stay in. Has all the things you’d expect in a studio flat. Not very accessible if you don’t have a car fyi (not a fault of the place at all) but otherwise lovely.

This property has got to be in the best position right on the sea front. Everything on your doorstep including the beach. The flat is deceptively spacious and has pretty much everything you need and more. Don is a legend and from the moment I booked this flat nothing was too much trouble and very informative. can't wait to go back!!!

We needed a peaceful and off the grid stay and that is exactly what we got. The place is next to two lakes and surrounded by nature. A bit cold for us to take advantage of the water but a reason to come back in the summer. The perfect hosts that were flexible with a last minute check out request from us. A great base to also see The Purbecks and the sounding area. 10/10

The caravan’a main living area felt much more spacious than we imagined and there was quite a good sea view. It was right by the amenities yet still quiet. Parking was a little tricky but we have a big car and you can always use the main car park which always had spaces and felt very safe. Lovely resort with friendly, helpful and professional staff.

The Sunset Cabin will exceed your expectations! The backyard offers more than just beautiful scenery; it provides a sense of tranquility as you immerse yourself in nature—listening to the birds sing, watching the tides rise and fall, and seeing the moonlight dance on the flowing water. It is definitely a top choice for a getaway from the crowded big cities! The room is well-decorated and equipped with all the necessary appliances. The heating works reallywell, making the home always feel cozy. Erika and John are amazing hosts! They are not only friendly and welcoming but also provided us with fantastic suggestions for local attractions and eating places. Erika and John’s Sunset Cabin made my partner and me fall in love with Poole, and I am sure you will feel the same after a stay with them ;)

What a lovely peaceful location overlooking the lake! All arrangements and communications were great and Frederick made sure we were settled with friendly information about the property and area. The flat had all the home comforts, was well presented and clean and we really enjoyed the views whilst dining and relaxing! The added bonus of safe parking and the flat being in walking distance from everything ensured we had a very relaxing stay!

Terry was very friendly and his place was exactly as described. We loved our trip and waking up to the view each morning was unforgettable!

Spacious, very comfortable cottage in a beautiful estate in the New Forest, with wildlife all around you. Perfect location from which to explore the area. Sandra welcomed us on arrival and provided a lot of useful information.

Hazel and Andrew are fantastic hosts and made us feel very welcome with beautiful touches everywhere. The cottage is stunning and caters to your every need. We were provided with a lovely welcome package and Andrew was so helpful with teaching us to light the log burner. Great walks and we even tried the zip wire (age 56!). Sitting in the boathouse would be heaven - its so peaceful and beautiful. Beds were extremely comfortable with lovely linen and pillows. We really can't fault anything at all and will definitely be back. Recommending The Silver Plough to eat. It's a 2 mile walk there and back and more than worth it for the Sunday roast dinner (ask for extra roasties, they're free! I'm still devasted I didn't!!). Also Fisherton Mill in Salisbury - food is also outstanding! Thank you so much Hazel and Andrew, we've had the most wonderful long weekend to recharge our batteries xx

Jane was an excellent host especially around the Christmas period. Be aware it can be difficult to find in the dark but that was also its charm. The house was excellent for 8 adults & 1 ,4 yr old. It had everything we needed & we cooked a full Christmas dinner without a problem. So easy to get to the beautiful coast where 4 of the group swam twice in the calm waters. Lovely to be able to get a great walk by the lake & around the property if you didn’t want to drive far. Two lovely log fires & we were never short of logs. Charlie & Jane were excellent hosts . We will certainly be back .

We had a brilliant stay at the Pink House! The house itself was beautifully decorated and was warm and inviting - we felt really at home here. Deborah was very friendly and responsive in her communication and sent us lots of local recommendations of things to do and places to visit. The garden was really private and we loved the built in BBQ and home-grown tomatoes and cucumbers, and the welcome basket that we're waiting for us when we arrived. The Pink House is in a great location with walks right from the front door and only 15-30 mins drive to the various beaches. We had a wonderful stay and wished we booked for longer - we'll definitely be back again!

We spent 3 lovely nights at Jane’s place, which served as a lovely warm, cozy spot for my family and in-laws. The house was beautifully decorated for Xmas and there was a festive hamper waiting for us on arrival. All 3 bedrooms were very comfortable, each with ensuite bathrooms. Whilst the house is located next to a fairly busy road, we weren’t bothered by the noise and the location was just a short drive to the nearby towns and a selection of good eateries (Rosie Lee House and Daisy Tea Garden make great breakfasts /lunches / cakes). Jane is a responsive host and gave us plenty of tips on where to visit. I’m sure the house also makes a great spot during summertime given the expansive front lawn and bbq set.

Had a lovely holiday here with our children. Nice clean modern place with beautiful views and everything we needed for our stay away. Lisa gave us clear instructions how to get there and was very welcoming during our stay :)

Immaculate, cosy retreat, easy walking distance to the coastal paths and nature reserves. The whole house, but particularly the kitchen, was really well equipped. Lots of lovely little touches that made it feel like a home, for example having a throw folded on the sofa ready to snuggle up with in the evenings. Very comfy beds. Fantastic wet room bathroom. Felt really cosy, quiet and private.
