A return visit to Darren and Wing's. A comfortable, cosy, peaceful base to explore the local area and the areas along the south coast.

We had a fantastic time staying at James and Emma’s. Whilst the location is tucked away off the normal path, their clear instructions made it easy to find. Their restaurant recommendations were also great and meant we found some real gems that we wouldn’t have otherwise known about. We would love to stay again if we were ever back in the area.

We had a great few days. The hosts are a lovely couple who were extremely accommodating. We enjoyed exploring the lovely area. The place has a kitchen but there’s also a great pub serving food next door. Big bathroom with a newly installed rain shower. Thanks for everything.

Had a lovely two nights at the Apple Barn. Jocelyn was so friendly and helpful, and the location was brilliant, very central to Bruton. We had everything we could need and really appreciated the little touches like being left some home made cookies, bread and milk. Thanks so much Jocelyn for a wonderful stay

We stayed at Fiona’s place for the month of October and loved it! It was very comfortable and homey & Fiona was kind and helpful. The small lane the house is on is like something out of a fairytale, with several thatched-roof cottages and fields with horses. The village of Alderbury is incredibly peaceful . Bus stop right around the corner with buses that run every hour until 7pm Mon. through Sat. For groceries we walked down the main road to the little village store which had nearly everything we needed. In the other direction, towards Salisbury there is a huge Tesco superstore , which we mostly took a short bus ride to, but also walked to a couple of times. We took the bus into Salisbury for restaurants, haircuts, nail salon, shopping, and of course the Cathedral & Stonehenge. My husband worked remotely & the internet was adequate for working on his laptop. Verizon cell coverage was weak inside the house but much better outside. We met lots of friendly locals & would stay here again

Great for a cozy and peaceful getaway. The place was as described and shown in pictures and Mark gave clear instructions making our stay and check-in smooth and seamless.

This place is amazing and really suited my families’ needs, the hosts are lovely and I couldn’t imagine a better place to have spent the night before running the half marathon, thank you so much!

Thank you so much! This was my first ever airbnb booking and it was lovely! We had all the facilities for everything so we didn’t eat out a single day we were able to cook. Hot tub was lovely and very spacious. TV was great with access to all the streaming platforms. The speaker was great. The bed was the comfiest bed I’ve ever slept in. Last but not least the host was very accommodating! Thank you very much Alastair 😄

Beautiful little place to stay has everything you need to make it comfortable, warm and Cosy and private. A bonus that it’s dog friendly and safe. Very modern and clean. Great location for us. Walking distance to shops. On site Parking. We couldn’t ask for a better place to stay.

The Den was everything described. The host, Sue met us on arrival and explained everything about the accommodation, gave us suggestions for places to visit as well places to eat. One night was far too short. The Den was warm and cosy and we both felt extremely comfortable. A great host and a great place to stay, will look to return later in the year. Dave

The accommodation and the surroundings were perfect. I went with some friends for a running and walking weekend, and it was all on our doorstep. The open plan kitchen / lounge is amazing and we sat around the fire in the evening and loved the place. Thanks to Sadie and family. Tom

The cottage was decorated beautifully, special mention for the handmade dishes and rustic bedding. Andy was very responsive to any questions I had before and during our stay. We could not have felt more comfortable and at home.

Claire’s cottage was the perfect getaway for a trip to Piddlehinton. The cottage is quite big, and more than enough space for two people to get comfortable. The surrounding area is gorgeous, and Claire was delightful as a host. I couldn’t recommend this place more

Nestled in the countryside, this modern and spacious Airbnb offers a perfect blend of luxury and tranquility. The open-concept design, accentuated by expansive windows, allows natural light to flood the interior, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The property boasts state-of-the-art appliances, including an induction hob, and integrated sound system which made for a great Christmas stay. The high-speed Wi-Fi and smart home features was a god send too. The location is truly phenomenal, offering picturesque surroundings with easy access to scenic hiking trails. Despite its secluded setting, local attractions and charming villages are just a short drive away, providing the perfect balance between peaceful retreat and cultural exploration. The garden area was a great outside space with a fire pit to unwind under the stars.

Mark and Maria’s place was an absolute dream to stay in. We booked it very last minute on the day due to our previous booking cancellation. They were very responsive and understanding about what happened to our previous booking. The place is very good for families. It is spacious and clean and a peaceful area. There is a close Sainsbury’s and KFC so quite convenient for quick food shopping. The best part of the place is the amazing hot tub. It’s very good for winter and for friends to chill with. We are very thankful for Mark and Maria as the angels who rescued our almost disastrous minibreak. Thanks and definitely highly recommended.

Spent a lovely few days here, lovely hosts. Very cosy getaway, clean well equipped and great water pressure/heating. Couldnt ask for anything more. Great for walks to the Tor and Chalice well and an easy walk to town. Will be back again.

Beautiful property with lovely grounds to explore, my friends and I had the best time looking around the local attractions.
