We loved our stay at The Barn Killin! Hugh and Dwayne were wonderful, welcoming hosts. Highly recommend opting for dinner at the house, as well - it was delicious! Lake Ohau is beautiful and peaceful, and it was a perfect place to stop for a night. Hopefully we will be able to make it back again someday!

I can’t say enough good things about Pete and Janine. I’ve never been in a more beautiful location. I couldn’t believe the sky at night with a crescent moon and maybe a planet. I had a delicious dinner sitting outside with the hosts and other guests. I loved the quiet and serenity. As others have said, Pete and Janine are wonderful hosts. I’ll be back.

Enjoyed the quietness even with a f ull house of people staying. Well maintained and very clean with a very good kitchen. Need to bring food with you as not a town with restaurants and supermarket but being local it wasnt an issue. A good spot over winter with curling and iceskating facilities.

Love Giselle’s place - it was everything we imagined and more! Clean, thoughtfully furnished, comfortable and came with a gorgeous view in the garden to boot. Giselle also welcomed us at her front porch when we first arrived - we truly appreciated the hospitality. Highly recommended.

Exactly like the pictures. Room was spotless and the view was beautiful. Would definitely recommend if you are in Queenstown!

Fabulous place to stay the night between Christchurch and Queenstown. Judy was so accommodating and the house was warm and comfy. Kids loved seeing the horses and playing with the beautiful dog. Highly recommended.

Mark was a very welcoming host. He went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable at all times. It was very nice to have a comfortable lounge to spend the evening, there was a great library and wonderful views of the evenings sunset.He is obviously very invested in his venture.

Staying at the Poolburn adventure hub for New Year’s with our family of five was an amazing experience! Mark and Matt were exceptional hosts and treated us like family. Mark cooked amazing meals, planned fun family outings for us, and let the kids feed the farm animals. I am so happy we stayed for three days to experience it all!

Lovely stay at Poolburn with Mark and the gang. Everyone was really friendly and we felt right at home. Mark is a fantastic cook! Great spot for exploring the area or just relaxing. You'll never get bored with resident dogs Bishop and Rook around. Will definitely be back for another stay!
