great mattresses and pillows. sofa in living room really comfy. nice lay out terrible shower, couldn't rinse shampoo out, had to flush both toilets twice, needed a few more cutlery and crockery

Such a cosy and well equipped home! Exactly what we needed as a base for our walking weekend.

We had a lovely stay here as a family of four over New Year. The house was perfectly located to walk into Whitby and the view from the living room was beautiful. The kids particularly enjoyed seeing the steam train go past! We would definitely recommend the house to friends and family.

Beautiful location and the nicest cottage we have stayed in. The views are amazing and the cottage is so close to the beach. Well equipped cottage with great attention to detail.

Stayed for a weekend in August 2024 for a birthday celebration. Mixed ages from 9m to 70 plus one cocker spaniel. We all had a fantastic time, especially the spaniel! The house and gardens are beautiful and we went for a walk each evening around the wetlands. House is superbly stocked with top quality items ie pots and pans, massive fridge freezer, surround sound, games etc. We have stayed in many AirBnbs as a family but all agreed this was one of the best. We would love to stay again someday. Carolyn and Steve were excellent hosts, always on hand to help with any questions and even allowed a much earlier check in which was appreciated. If this place is available, book it!

The most amazing house I have been, even my daughters wouldn't want to leave the place and even dream of having the same house and place in their life.

Paula was very responsive and communicative. The apartment was as described and in a beautiful spot for easy exploration. Very clean, 2 bedroom 2 bathroom place with on site pharmacy, pub, shop and various facilities. Would defo stay again.

Lovely little flat that was comfortable and homely. Had everything we needed for an overnight stay and well located near the High Street. Had dinner at the Black Bull which was lovely. Would certainly stay here again!

The images for this air bnb don’t do it justice, the home is beautiful and well looked after, and the hot tub/garden is peaceful and comfortable. We travelled here as 2x families with 4x adults and 2x children. There is one double bedroom downstairs, with a bathroom, and one double and one twin (two single beds) upstairs with another bathroom. We had one or two questions/small issues whilst staying in the Airbnb, these issues were only due to the weather being below freezing and this causing an issue with the hose, and subsequent use of the hot water/noise it made. When we asked the hosts they answered our questions immediately and came over within minutes. They could not have been more helpful. The hot water tank is in the twin bedroom, and it does make quite a loud hum when in use, which is just something to bear in mind when choosing rooms/using hot water. Michael and his co-hosts have decorated and laid out this home beautifully; we will definitely be returning!

From the time we booked we were made to feel that John and Christine were waiting to welcome us to their lovely cottage. We had clear directions and John was there to welcome us when we arrived. He showed us round the cottage, gave us helpful advice about eating places, etc and he was there if we needed to check anything out (although everything was really fine and we didn't need to trouble him). The cottage is super - part of an old farmhouse on their working farm, surrounded by fields and lovely scenery. The cottage is extremely well equipped and, to our surprise, there were lots of lovely welcome treats, including prosecco, mulled wine, lovely chocolates, etc etc. Such a wonderful welcome for our 'twixmas' mini break. The area is very attractive and well placed to visit places like Haworth and Skipton, which we did. We would certainly recommend this lovely cottage and want to thank John and Christine for making our stay so enjoyable.

Lovely place, homely and high spec internally as well as spotless. Jill communicated with us, before during and afterwards with gave us confidence. Love the area anyway but just off the beaten track so nice to be able to relax in peace and quiet but also have the amenities available. Swimming pool a bit tired but that’s for the Bays owners to sort out. Would definitely recommend 👍👍👍

Lovely house in a good location, just a short walk to the beach, shop, pub, gym etc and convenient private parking right outside. Plenty to do with a great selection of board games, books and dvds. There was a useful folder in the house with local attractions, restaurants and takeaways etc. Would stay again.

We had a lovely weekend, at Sylvia's! Sylvia made us feel right at home and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this fab cottage.

What a beautiful cosy cottage this was…It is beautifully decorated and had lots of homely comforts. We spent our days walking on the wonderful sandy beach to Filey and back and our evenings dining at the pub then playing family board games… absolutely perfect family getaway.
