Hickory Hill Guesthouse

The place was impeccable. It was very clean and smelled good, a woody smell. Great mountain views from eating nook and porch. Kitchen well organized. As a tea drinker I was happy to have a teapot and strainer (usually I have to ask for one.) My wife enjoyed the coffee machine. Responses were quick. And the place was close to the interstate and Waynesville. Presnell’s Produce is a great farmer’s market a couple miles down the road where we did most of our shopping. Also has fresh baked bread and local meat.

2 Bedroom Smokey Mtn Cabin w/ Long-Range Views

If your looking for a peaceful get away this place is for you! Its very beautiful in the mornings during sunrise and you can hear the river close by so super romantic as well. The home was wonderful, very neat and has a gorgeous fire place. I do want to point out that this home has welcomed pets so beware of dog and cat hair in some areas. But mostly everything was cleaned properly. My valentine getaway was spent very well in this place.

Secluded Cabin in the Great Smoky Mountains

RachelRating, 5 stars5 months ago
If you’re looking for a remote cabin getaway, this is the place! 5/5! Its peaceful surroundings make for perfect R&R. If you’re more into 4x4 riding gravel mountain roads, or hiking the beautiful forests there is that too. You WILL need 4 wheel drive to get there, that isn’t a joke or something to take lightly in the description. We had no cell service either, but the cabin was equipped with WiFi to stay in touch if needed. It rained much of our trip but we hung out on the porch (stayed dry) and played games, read a book, and took in all the beautiful sounds. Kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed, plus some. Hosts were very responsive to all my questions and gave recommendations for different trails/attractions nearby. Due to severe weather the hosts reached out checking in on us, which was so nice and peace of mind - given the remote nature of the cabin there was no one around unless you went down the mountain. Thank you again, for the beautiful stay!

After arrival we had a problem connecting to the TV and making the heater work. Shelda came down and showed us how to work TV and brought us a portable heater. The place was perfect for two people. The bed was comfortable and we had everything we needed. We will be back!
