Chalet vacation rentals in Michigan

What an absolute "gem" in the woods. We couldn't have asked for a better host. Jennifer was very receptive and periodically checked "to make sure" everything was okay. The house was in a secluded and quiet wooded neighborhood. There is something to be said about enjoying a hot cup of coffee sitting and the porch and taking in the sights and sounds of autumn and the smell of the fallen leaves. The dogs had a great time exploring the fenced in yard. I have a passion for cooking and found the kitchen supplied with an abundant supply of cooking utensils and pots and pans with a large kitchen table to sit down and enjoy those dishes. Quiet time in the evenings were spent watching movies in the family rooms. The house is centrally located and never more than an hour away from our daily adventures in various areas in the state. We thoroughly enjoyed our vacation and would gladly stay here again.

We loved staying in this vintage ski chalet. The view of the ski resort lit up at night was gorgeous! Will definitely book again!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. It was perfect for our family ski vacation. Bob's place was comfortable, warm, and clean. We loved the fireplaces and hot tub after our ski days and the kitchen offed ample space for us all (9) to enjoy time together. Bob's place has a great view of Powderhorn Mountain.

We stayed at the Chalet the weekend of Cherry Festival and found the price to be VERY reasonable. We were a party of 8 and felt comfortable with the space and bed layouyt (2 couples and 4 kids). The decor was very tasteful and we noticed all the little touches such as bringing extra dish soap over, fresh flowers in multiple places, and delicious, fresh cookies! There is a basketball hoop and campfire. They have a wonderful deck out by the lake, perfect for parents to hang out while the kids swim. Next time, we'll make use of the grill down by the lake and make a meal down there as well! Plenty to do on the property alone! Becky was very helpful when we wanted information on Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes and provided information on the area before we got there. Thanks for a WONDERFUL stay!

We enjoyed our stay at the Treehouse. Beautiful home as pictured. Clean and well stocked with all the basics we needed. Fireplace was great for cold winter nights. Bed was comfortable. It was a bonus to be able to bring our dog with us. Drive to Bellaire was a little tricky due to weather conditions. AWD vehicle needed on Maple Lane during heavy snowfall. Overall great time enjoying all the snow up North and exploring the area. Bellaire is a nice town but many of the restaurants around the area were closed for the winter.

Carrie’s place was fantastic! Easily slept 12, easy to get to right off of a paved road.

there was plenty of room for seven people. the rooms were all big. there was enough stuff in the kitchen to use. the only thing I wish was a half bath upstairs people had to come down to use the bathrooms. but other than that it was great

The Haanu house is a great space for a family getaway! It’s large but cozy with large table and large comfortable furnishings. There is a large yard and nice hot tub and sauna to relax and enjoy. It’s close to the ski hills and has a large area to park if you are pulling snowmobile trailers. The sunrises are pretty over the barn to enjoy with your morning fresh brew! We also appreciated the little touches of bath and body works soaps and cute decor. We felt very spoiled to all be together and share space - the tv never went on once!

We just stayed here for Christmas, we wanted a white Christmas this year and to spend it with family. This home was beautiful and the best stocked place we ever stayed at! They had tons of cooking utensils, pots pans, casserole dishes. Towels for bathrooms and for the hot tubs. They provided shampoo, conditioner, razors and toilet paper! If we had a question for Kelly she always answered right away! We ended up having to take a mini van which struggled getting up the steep snowy/icy drive (it started snowing heavily an hour before arriving). But Kelly immediately called and had someone out to plow and lay down salt and sand. So if you have the option 4 wheel drive is best. We had 7 adults 3 kids and a baby and everyone had fun. We played lots of games and loved just sitting looking out the windows at the snow and scenery of the woods. We went snowboarding and took the kids tubing as well. We wish we could have stayed longer and hope to come back again!

Great place to gather when you need space! Plenty of bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone. We were in town for a family wedding. Lots of great places to sit and talk inside and outside too. Very close to Charlevoix and The Castle Event Center. Would be beautiful in the fall and winter!

We had a wonderful stay and it was perfect for our group outing. Everyone was comfortable and the space had everything we needed. We liked that both kitchens were well stocked with cooking and kitchen ware as well as storage space for all our needs. Almost every room having their own bathroom was very nice, and the building layout and bedroom number allowed our group have plenty of their own space. The common areas were cozy and big enough for all of us to congregate and share meals together. It was truly a great perk to have the shuttle service and resort spa available to us. The location is convenient to downtown Boyne and Gaylord for quick trips and the house itself was in a picturesque and peaceful area. We would absolutely love coming again and would plan to stay longer so we could take advantage of more activities next time.

The Chalet was perfect for our ski trip to The Highlands! The setup of the home was so inviting and the perfect place to host our annual friends ski trip!

This location worked great for our larger group. It was clean, comfortable, and in a good location. It’s only one mile away from Summit Village, which was convenient. Thank you for a great stay!

Our stay at this cabin was phenomenal! With its 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms, it perfectly accommodated our group's multiple families across various age groups. Not only was it a tremendous value, but its proximity to Traverse City made it an ideal choice for us. We were delighted by the cabin's cleanliness and the spacious, open layout. The endless supply of firewood was a blessing, especially during the unexpectedly chilly nights. Ryan was outstanding—responsive and helpful, making our experience smooth and enjoyable. This was our first visit to this area, and it surpassed our expectations. Although we typically kayak on the Oscoda River, we ventured to the Manistee River (just south of dam) this time and found it to be a much nicer trip. It’s safe to say that we’ve found our new summer kayaking destination. Overall amazing stay, would recommend!

Our snowmobiling group found our accommodations very comfortable. Nice beds and bedding. The house was stocked with everything we needed. It is a beautiful home close to the water. Our hosts paid close attention to details. The home is family/child friendly. Our host communicated very well and was proactive to help find us free safe parking for our large trucks and trailers.

Diane’s place offered us exactly what we needed which was peace and serenity! The lake was beautiful and quiet yet close to lots of things to do! We enjoyed our stay! Thank you Diane!

This place was magical. We stayed for two nights after a big snow storm and it looked like an absolute dream. Definitely use a good vehicle to get out here in the winter, some side streets are less plowed, but oh my word was it beautiful. Stocked with the bare necessities, it was nice and cozy, loved the wood fire place. But what really stood out was the surroundings - absolutely gorgeous and feels very private. I'm sure it's lovely in the summer to go down to the lake, we however really enjoyed the hot tub surrounded by snowy trees. It stayed nice and warm even with lots of use in super cold temps. Use of laundry was a bonus. Watching the sun rise over the lake from the back porch was exquisite, we hope to come back.

this was a beautiful place to stay for the weekend and only about 30 minutes from boyne! would definitely stay here again!

We unfortunately seen people complain about this place because of the spiders or the bees, little critters, etc… however it’s a chalet in the woods, cozy and comfy! Nice people all around and we really enjoyed the entertainment of the boats going up and down the channel. Will definitely come back and recommend to others.
