Monthly Rentals in Matiu / Somes Island

We loved Roberts place, very well provisioned, everything supplied that you could possibly need. Everything worked, bed comfortable, good shower, it also helped that the weather was perfect. We liked the area as a base for biking. We would come back if we stay in Wellington again.

Cozy apartment. Though there are 3 beds, 2 of them are in the living room. If staying as a group, note that you need to walk through the bedroom in order to get to the bathroom. Otherwise, it’s a very nice place in a beautiful location. Usually Airbnb‘s are smaller than they look in the pictures when you arrive. In this case, it was the opposite. The room was much larger and nicer than it appeared in the photos. The kitchen is small and without an oven, but has everything else you could need. The shops in Eastbourne are just a few steps away for groceries. Be sure to check out the local butcher and vegetable shop down the road.

A fabulous location close to city ferry, beaches and bush walks. Also easy walks to cafes and shops. We loved the privacy, the fenced courtyard so our dog was safe and a very comfortable bed. We appreciated the washing machine as we were there for a more extended stay, everything we needed to make simple meals, and space to work as well as relax. We highly recommend and will be back ourselves!

An historic home in a residential area that was a perfect place spring board from which to explore Wellington and the surrounding area. It is cozy, but well equipped and the home and gardens were a peaceful retreat for the end of the day. Rich. was very responsive to questions and quick to point out local happenings we may be interested in. The train station is very easily accessible to Wellington; so much easier than driving.
