This home is very roomy & open. Large open kitchen, dining room & living area with it not be crowded & easy to move around. Loved the room with the pool table, lots of fun. Back yard was great & the hot tub was perfect. It was the perfect get away for us & we relaxed.

Great oceanfront 2nd floor unit at South end of Kure beach. Sunrise on beautiful display from the large balcony every morning. Bright colors and well decorated. Twin mattresses in the second bedroom could be updated. We had a wonderful family vacation!

This is a fantastic beach home. My large family enjoyed every minute of our stay. Steve was very responsive and helpful - the business-side of our vacation was easy and straightforward. The rooms and home itself had literally everything we could want. The décor inside and out was very tasteful and the kitchen was well appointed; plenty of gear for our crew of kids and adults. The family agreed this was one of our best holidays ever. We hope to return for a repeat!

Our stay was fantastic! The house was just as described. We didn’t mind the walk to the beach via the scenic walkway. The listing had mentioned a beach umbrella; we couldn’t find it, but made do. There are plenty of rental shops. Super responsive! I loved the selection of novels (and was grateful when I realized I’d forgotten mine…life saver!) Overall, it felt like home away from home for our first trip to OKI! Thank you!

Only stayed 2 nights in the office season and did not do any outside activities but home was comfortable and decently stocked

Oceanfront--direct walk out onto the beach, sunrise and coffee overlooking the ocean while sitting on the top deck, restaurants, shops, & pier close by-- we couldn't have asked for more. Our host-- Rob, was communicative and responded quickly. The townhouse was clean and well-stocked with the essentials needed to prepare a meal. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

If your looking for something close to the beach this is the place to stay, with just a two minute walk to the beach and lots to do in the surrounding area. The place is also super cozy and such a wonderful location! Would highly recommend this gem!

Leslie Ann's place was perfect size for our family of four. We loved the space underneath the house, which was spacious and great for hanging out. The location was amazing being less than 5 minute walk to the beach and close to many restaurants and stores. We had a great stay and would happily stay here again.

Really nice stay. Single room and bathroom in historic house. Short walk to Castle Street with great restaurants, coffee shops and stores. Also walkable to downtown and waterfront. Katherine a very responsive host, thought of everything. Communucated frequently and left a list of restaurant recommendations. Complimentary bottle of wine and a corkscrew. Clean, well-appointed room. Snacks. A fridge and microwave. On a main street but set back, some noise but mostly very quiet and private. Charming. Just very nice and near perfect for one person or a couple.

We had a great visit! The secret hide-away was difficult to find but once we located it, it was comfy and cozy. Great back yard for pets. We were there for Christmas and we even had a Christmas tree! Just lovely

Katie was amazing!! The cabin was perfect!! It was so cozy. Perfect romantic getaway I’ve stayed in many rentals but nothing felt more inviting then this little cabin and Katie is a gem as is her dog Charlie. I can’t say enough great things about her as a host!!!

Another fantastic stay at the Kure at Carolina Beach. The house was sparkling clean and well appointed. The outdoor space is well utilized and creates warm inviting spaces. Kevin and Katie are gracious hosts. They are always quick to respond to questions and proactive with information. We love staying at the Kure and are looking forward to our next stay.

This was a very cute place to stay, and well done for the small space. A couple of things to consider are that there is really no where to put your bags or clothes. A few hooks in the bathroom but we had to put our bags on the floor, and there is not much floor in the bedroom! Also if the weather is bad, there is nowhere to sit and eat. Not a huge deal but just small things that come with a compact property. The bed was pretty comfy, the bathroom and kitchen were functional and well appointed, and the location was great. Just a few short blocks to the public beach access. Overall I’d recommend this as a simple and affordable- and novel- place to stay.

Emily was super responsive and nice when I had to call her when we checked in. We brought motorcycles and she was able to alert the property manager so they wouldn’t get towed without the parking pass. The location was fantastic. The tide was super high but we were able to access the beach by walking past the pier bar. We were thankful they had a couple of sand chairs for us to use, since we had to pack light. The shower could use some TLC but it was clean. Overall, a great experience at a great location.

We loved our stay at Diana’s place! Her home was perfect for our family and provided plenty of things to do to settle in for a long weekend inside and outside of the home. We really enjoyed the playrooms close proximity to the kitchen/living room. Her home was well thought out for all ages!

I know it was off season when we went but it was very quiet. Loved both front and back decks to sit outside. we have been many times to Carolina Beach and this is the first time we were really able to explore the north part of the island. I didn't have to speak to Gregg or Alicia because all instructions were very clear and simple. Great stay!

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Walked to all of the places where we hung out and ate. The condo's updates made it bright and clean. The owner was pleasant and very responsive. We will book this condo again, especially for a fall/winter trip to our favorite place.

A wonderful condo in a stellar location with terrific hosts. What more is there to say! This is our second time here and it won’t be the last. A clean, well-equipped and comfortable place on the ocean. Stefan was so easy to communicate with. Everything was all-star quality!

Great location, between the marina & across the street from the ocean. Within walking distance to restaurants & the boardwalk. I thought the place was a little small for the $425/night cost (after all of the fees were calculated), but it worked out just fine for our short stay. Host accommodated us rescheduling due to the hurricane, so I was definitely happy about that!

This place is hard to beat on Wrightsville Beach if you're looking for an ocean view, easy beach access, and premium parking. An ideal setting for our family of 4. The balcony overlooking the beach is roomy and amazing for watching the sunrise. Several restaurants and shops are under a 5 minute walk, and grocery store a 5 minute drive away. We plan to return!

This was our second Christmas stay at Once Upon a Tide. We just love this spacious, clean and well appointed kitchen. The location can’t be beat!! Beds are 5-star, and we are tough reviewers so that’s saying a lot!
