Private Pool - 180° Ocean View - Minutes to Beach

KarlRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Sandra's place brings healing. It is beautiful, quiet, and serene. The views are lovely of ocean below, and the wind blows quietly through bows of citrus, avocado, and palms. There are likely multiple Walden Ponds on the Big Island of Hawaii, but this is one of them. Tranquility reins at this property.

Great townhouse equipped with all we could need for our stay. Townhouse is really clean and comfortable and the complex itself is really well maintained, quiet and not crowded. There was always space at the pool and at the courts. Location is great, close to Kailua, few minutes walk from one of the best snorkeling beaches on the island. Brad is a great host, thoughtful and very responsive. We are looking forward to coming back!

Beautiful Home With Private Pool on Kealakekua Bay

AnneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We loved our stay at Mary’s place! Although it was a little more remote than expected, we appreciated the access to the different beautiful beaches in the neighborhood. The snorkeling at Manini Beach was spectacular! Because we had our 8 month old granddaughter with us, we also spent a lot of time in the beautiful pool. The “glamping” aspect of our stay was fun and we enjoyed the sounds of nature, particularly our rooster alarm at the crack of dawn which certainly helped us get our days started. We would highly recommend Mary’s place and wouldn’t hesitate staying again when on the island.

Spent our Spring break in Big Island. We stayed in Kona for 3 days at Jan's place. The location is very good. It is close to the beach, walking distance to many restaurant places. The property is very clean and quiet. The view from the apartment is very good. You get to see the ocean from the verandah, wake up to the sound of waves, can spend your evening by the while sipping a relaxing drink in the evening. The apartment is furnished with comfortable beds, clean kitchen and bathroom. It had everything we needed for our stay. They also had provision for beach chairs, mats. towels which the guests can use. We were a party of 3 and found the apartment spacious enough to sleep comfortably and also relax. Jan was very responsive in all her communications. She gave us clear instructions as to how to get into the apartment (self check-in). She also had a information booklet in the apartment which the guests can use to find places to eat and activities that can be done. Will stay again.

Cooks Landing at Hali'i Kai family vacation condo

StephanieRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
We had a wonderful time at Cooks Landing! Our first impression was 'WOW'. At first we were skeptical about some of the photos seeming dark... but the pictures do not do this place justice. Beautiful home that is located in a beautiful private community. It was clean and well stocked with plenty of extras that you may need from either home use or the beach. We loved the location, which was located not far from a key highway intersection that could take you to your Hawaiian adventure. The Ocean Club (pool) pictures do not do it justice either! It had a great design that overlooked the ocean that was perfect for watching the sunset with a Mai Tai in hand! I would say that the pool is family friendly too. It had shallow depth & a spot that toddlers could play in. It had a bar, restaurant, and tasteful live local music. 12/10 would recommend this place. A very big MAHALO to Jim & Kristi for opening this beautiful home to people.

Caryl’s place was in a great location, close to both the airport and Kona town, which made getting around super easy. At night, we could see the stars from the yard, which was such a nice touch. Kona Plumeria Guesthouse

MarianneRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
The home was clean and matched the photos exactly. Did get lost once in the dark, but that’s just because I Missed a turn in the road. Appreciated having good kitchen appliances and housewares. The only thing missing was a washcloth in the bathroom. And was unable to turn on the ac to cool it down a bit. Owners kept in touch with all details and I very much appreciated the connection. Would come back next time I’m looking to stay on the Kona side!

This is our second stay here and both times were magical. I have been dreaming about that tub since we were there in 2022. The house is so comfortable. Everything I like about staying in an Airbnb. The stay in the jungle with the tree frogs singing is something you can’t experience anywhere else. We hope to be back one day!!

I really enjoyed my stay at Jon and Mariluz’s place. From start to finish, they were incredibly friendly and helpful. The home was spotless, quiet, and peaceful, with a beautiful view that made my stay even more special. The bed was super comfortable, and I had some of the best, deepest sleep during my time there. What I loved most was the perfect balance of being close to town and the beach while still enjoying a quiet and serene atmosphere. Jon and Mariluz also shared amazing suggestions for places to visit, which made exploring the area even better. Anything extra I needed, they provided with warmth and kindness. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a peaceful getaway with wonderful hosts!

Mermaid Studio by Kealakekua Bay!

MarkRating, 5 stars1 month ago
We had a wonderful four days at Jill's Mermaid Studio. Jill was out of town but Jason and Brian helped us with our every need. We enjoyed her friendly cats and chickens that greeted us in the yard. The outside shower is really cool! We walked the path to watch the sunset each evening. Manini Beach just a couple minutes walk around the corner is maintained by local conservation group so is super clean, and has an easy spot to get in the water to snorkel. We rented a kayak from Ehu and Kai ($80 for a double ocean kayak for 5 hours) to paddle over and snorkel at the Captain Cook Monument. If you want to do this it is very easy to sign up and pay right on their website and meet them at the landing just a block from Jill's place (other direction from beach). They provide a dry bag and life vests. Rent snorkel gear from them or bring your own. You can't land the kayak at the monument so you just pull it around behind you with a rope while you snorkel which was no big deal.
