The Cottage at Eastwood Farm and Winery

JosephRating, 5 stars6 months ago
Fantastic spot to enjoy a weekend in Charlottesville. There is a place to sit outside underneath two large holly trees, and the location is right next to a wonderful winery. It was well situated to wineries in the area, grocery stores in Charlottesville (Wegmans is 5 minutes down the road), and also near Monticello-Saunders Trails (5 minutes down the road). My only complaint is some of the dishes/utensils weren't cleaned, presumably by previous renters.

Hebron Valley Cottage

WilliamRating, 5 stars1 month ago
David’s place was fantastic! It felt like a little house on the prairie. The house was absolutely spotless! Very quiet. My favorite thing though was without a doubt the view as you step out the front door. It was breathtaking!! The rolling blue ridge mountains and an endless field was right up our alley!! Thanks David!!!

The location is tucked away from the city and very quiet but still within a close distance from restaurants and shops. Check in was easy and everything was exactly as stated in the listing. We would definitely stay at this location in the future.

Homestead at HeartRock

GeorgiaRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
I cannot recommend heartrock enough! I came here wanting to get away, spend some restful and relaxing time away from the hustle and bustle and this location provided plenty of the zen I was looking for. Kim and Greg are so welcoming and wanted to make sure that my partner and I were comfortable and safe during the snow storm that occurred during our stay. The property is also amazing. Beautiful, quiet, secluded, plenty of room to explore, not to mention the goats and the amazing cat bilbo. Bilbo is the friendliest cat I have ever met, wanting to cuddle up to us every chance he got! Overall, one of the best air bnb experiences I have ever had!

Ray was an outstanding host -- very communicable, helpful, and the home was perfect for our group. We stayed overnight prior to the Richmond Marathon and were really grateful we could book 1-night and had an easy access to downtown.

We loved our stay! The place is cozy and peaceful with a beautiful view. The porch/deck was perfect for eating meals, watching the sunset, and stargazing. It was fun to look at the cows and play with the two cats on the property! Kelly was super friendly and responsive. 10/10 recommend

Heron Rock: Lakefront Cottage on Lake Chesdin

ThomasRating, 5 stars2 weeks ago
This place was a dream -- far exceeded expectations. The hosts Anne and Jim were super friendly and went above and beyond in making us feel at home. A beautiful spot and the kids loved playing in the woods and down by the lake. We can't wait to book again in a different season. (We only hope it doesn't get too popular so we can't come back! :) )

Country Cabin near JMU/ Skyline Dr / Massanutten

ZienaRating, 5 stars1 day ago
This stay was perfect for our needs, since we wanted somewhere close to JMU for my Ph.D program interview that was affordable and quiet. We had really nice breakfasts in the kitchen and enjoyed shopping and eating local with the recommendations from the host. Since we were staying in the winter, it was also very kind of the hosts to have salted the steps and the driveway. Finally, they had a wealth of great amenities available: amazing selection of books, a variety of snacks and coffees for every palate, quality shampoos and lotions, and comfortable blankets. One of our favorite activities was cozying up to the electric fireplace after a cold evening in the snow. Amazing work on the hosts' part to make this special!

Unique Historic Home

JenniferRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
This home had all we needed for a weekend business retreat - space to work and amenities to help us rest and relax. We especially liked the sauna, the massage chair, the French press, and the restaurant across the street. It was too cold to walk around the neighborhood, but I'm sure we would have enjoyed that, too. Elizabeth checked in with us and was quick to answer questions. Downtown Roanoke is just minutes away as are grocery stores and restaurants. Wish we could have stayed longer! This vintage place is a unique stay and offers more amenities than most.

Funky & colorful private guesthouse with parking!

AndreaRating, 5 stars2 days ago
Very clean and very cute place! Looks just like the photos. Excellent host. The only con I will say is the water in the shower gets cold after about 8 minutes so be sure to hop in and out! Other than that, it’s a nice find!

Adorable cottage with partial blue ridge views

MegRating, 5 stars1 week ago
The cottage was so cute and cozy! We loved the provided games and movies and the way it was decorated was a great mix of vintage & modern. We said over and over that it would be a perfect place to stay again. We did use Apple Maps and ended up in their neighbors driveway at first, only to realize she recommended Google maps 😂 so actually pay attention to the mailboxes and you’ll have no troubles. Felt very safe and comfortable there, which is important to me. They included coffee and tea and lots of snacks, which was so nice and showed how thoughtful they are! Would absolutely stay again and highly recommend to anyone thinking about a visit. You’re not far from plenty of fun things to do, we visited downtown Culpeper and loved it. Thanks again for letting us stay!

Luxury tiny house 3 min from UVA

BriannaRating, 5 stars3 days ago
One of the best air bnbs I’ve ever stayed at. We stayed for 2 weeks and we were very well taken care of. The place was not only clean and modern, but the attention to detail surpassed expectations! Heated bathroom floor was definitely a highlight. So many little extras were thought of and made available. Like batteries and scissors! Games for the kids and coffee! The kitchen was fully functional and we were able to create all our meals with everything provided. Our hosts were kind and out of sight! Would stay again in a heart beat. Thanks Laura!

Cozy Lakeside Studio Retreat.

CaitlinRating, 5 stars6 days ago
This was our mini vacay after marriage and all we wanted was a beautiful natural area with a fire pit, and we stumbled upon a serious treasure trove. The pictures are great but once we got there it was just so much prettier than we had even expected. The outdoor area is HUGE and luxurious, even with it being winter we spent most of our time out at the fire pit chatting and looking out onto the frozen lake. We've both already decided that we'll come back during fishing/kayak season. The owners were also very nice, we woke up the second day to Josh having already cleaned out and reset the fire pit with tinder which was so incredibly nice and really helped make our trip exactly what we wanted. This place is awesome, neighborhood is super cute too. Could not recommend more

Charming Forest Hill Apartment

LaurelRating, 5 stars1 month ago
Krysten’s spot was absolutely perfect for our little family to stay in while visiting family in Richmond. Unfortunately we can’t stay with our relatives because of a severe cat allergy but this AirBnb is in a great location btwn everyone with all the amenities needed to prepare food to contribute to the holiday potluck. We were traveling with our 1.5 year old and not having to bring his travel crib or high chair was a big bonus! He enjoyed sitting at the bar and having breakfast just as much as my parents enjoyed bellying up to the bar and enjoying a beer and some cards after babe went to sleep. Another big perk was the baby bathtub for the shower! It was a novelty for our little guy and he’s even more interested in taking showers at home now. The noise machines weren’t the noises we prefer but the fans worked just fine to drone out any wayward city sounds. Street parking wasn’t an issue and the construction next door provided added entertainment for our boy. Hope to visit again!
