Achala’s place was a delight to stay at. Away from the hustle bustle of Kandy. The room is spacious and boasts of a stunning view of the mountains. He and his father both made me very comfortable. They were very helpful when I asked for recommendations or when I needed to figure out how to get around. Cherry on the top: I got to task local vegetarian delicacies, which I loved! Would definitely recommend.

Outstanding apartment with everything you could ask for (even a washing machine!). Breakfast on the terrace was our absolute highlight. Aline and Sami were very responsive, super nice hosts and helped us out with everything they could, including recommendations for daytime activities and restaurant recommendations. definitely recommended!

Just to be clear: this is a simple living type of cottage and the road to get there is tricky (we’d strongly recommend a car with good clearance if you’re coming by car). However, once you get there it is well worth it! The view and tranquility of the place is amazing. Jerry and Sally are super friendly and welcoming and make you feel at home – the door to their neighbouring house (main house) is always open, and you’re welcome to use the pool in their garden, or just hang out and have a chat with them in the living room. They also offer breakfast and dinner (there’s a basic kitchen in the cabin if you want to cook yourself), and this was for us both convenient and very nice – we had some good talks with both Jerry, Sally and their other guests. This was a good starting point for the first (and second) stage of the Pekoe Trail nearby (15/20 min by tuk tuk). We highly recommend!
