Great value for money accommodation in a quiet rural location but close enough to pubs and public transport. Good location for exploring the wider area by car, bicycle or train.

We were excited to stay at Paul’s again as normally it’s booked up when we come to visit Chelmsford. The room is lovely and spacious and the bathroom is stunning. It’s very close to the city centre with a large Tesco within 5 mins walking distance.

We loved our stay at the barn. Bigger inside than pictures, gorgeous wood beams and high ceilings made it feel grand. Very clean and well decorated, felt welcoming. Was helpful that kitchen had basics like salt, pepper, oil, some tea bags, milk, coffee and dishwasher tablets. Beautiful views from living/kitchen area overlooking vineyard and in the distance can see the river. Very peaceful and quiet. Lovely walks right from the barn along the riverside and through the vineyard. Enjoyed the spa and salt room, lovely that this was a private booking. Well equipped clean gym. Cafe does very good food and reasonable.

Very clean, bedding and towels smelled great. Hot tub was very relaxing, nice farmland surroundings and would recommend shoes/boots that can withstand the mud!

Homely corner for exploring the local area, thank you Roddy and Mrs Roddy (and Winston the Labrador!) for a comfortable stay. A friendly welcome, and the breakfast things and snacks were a nice touch.

Everything was great, station is only 2 mins away which is great, only one minus is that there is a bad signal of wifi but we used ours so that wasnt really an issue

The accommodation has plenty of space, with a separate living area which is good for relaxing in. Very welcoming place with a friendly dog too, and a good bedroom at the rear of the house overlooking the garden and the trees. Conveniently situated in the town and the house is a short walk to a Co-op shop and a chip shop. A nice place to stay.

We enjoyed a lovely stay at the Pavillion, it had everything we needed for a nice few days away. It was tidy and nicely equipped. We walked from the Pavillion to the Flatlock Mill and back through Dedham, it was a lovely walk. We saw Kingfishers by the river.

Really enjoyed our stay. The accomodation was warm and comfortable and had everything we needed. Isabel was very responsive to any queries. Would definitely book again.

This is a very rural and peaceful location in the Suffolk countryside - but only about 10 minutes from the main roads for quick access to other places you may like to visit.

We arrived when it was dark no lights on road so hard to find with our stupid sat nav so we parked up and walked and found it easy. What a lovely place to stay could live there own glass door to a secluded part of the garden 5 stars for cleanliness and tasteful furnishings. Communication was very good we never got to meet Nancy there was really no need as everything was easy we love to stay again maybe in the summer as her garden was amazing could imagine sitting out there with a coffee x

This was our first time staying at Toad Hall, and what a lovely find. The accommodation is situated in the hosts big garden, surrounded by trees, rescue cats and chickens. The accommodation is comfortable, with cooking facilities, pots and pans, tv, jigsaw puzzles and reading material. The bed and pillows we found comfortable, the shower was lovely and hot, the wi-fi was excellent, we will definately return.

An absolutely delightful stay - what else is there to say? Perfect central location off common, so quiet but near everything in the town centre; clean and comfortable with charming décor (and wonderful tea!); friendly, responsive host with very easy and clear check-in/check-out and great local recommendations; in sum: an excellent value for money. I would stay again! My only regret about the stay is that I did not get to meet their cute dog!

Ava Lodge exceeded our expectations. Spotlessly clean with tea, coffee and a bottle of wine available once checked in. Heather messaged the day before with clear, precise instructions of what to do when we arrive and there were instructions and recommendations left in the lodge of places to go for food and things to do. Frinton is a lovely seaside town, very quiet and intimate and we had a lovely weekend, thank you Heather.

Not the first time we’ve stayed, and won’t be the last. Just the perfect place to stop, reset, breathe and enjoy. And the weather this weekend made it even more beautiful! Iain and Debs are the perfect hosts - another brilliant stay.

The property is exactly as described. The hosts - Tony and Masha - are very helpful and friendly. They also gave us lots of recommendations on local restaurants which we would never find by ourselves. Location is perfect - near the beach. We have enjoyed our stay here. We highly recommend it.

Teresa was so wonderful and accommodating. I needed last minute accommodation and she was quick to help me out! The place was so cute and cozy, and one of the cleanest air b&b’s I’ve stayed at throughout my travels. I also felt extremely safe which is the most important thing as a solo traveller! Can’t recommend enough!!

It’s was great, we requested some extra logs and they were there on the door step when we arrived back from work. We have re booked next Friday! Highly recommend

Laura is a great host, very friendly and responsive. The unit is quite quirky and eco which we liked. It’s an easy walk from Walthamstow Village which has some great independent coffee shops, restaurants and pubs. Also a short walk from Walthamstow forest which the dog loved. Having parking was a boon.

Lovely cosy,warm,compact place for 2 and our dog. Everything you need is catered for,even complementary milk,cereal,tea ,coffee and condiments which was a nice touch. We were also allowed to checkin a bit earlier. We did have issues operating TV and response from host was slow as she was away,but we managed to resolve ourselves by perseverance(although this was not an issue) Location is perfect for coastal walks,pubs etc and we were lucky enough to see a stunning sunset on our first afternoon. All in all a great place and would not hesitate to recommend it.Thanks

The place was a great base for the wedding at Crondon Park. Great facilities in the place along with a lovely kitchen. There is a pub and cafe just across the road from the venue. It was difficult to get cabs so ensure it is booked in advance. We struggled to get back to the venue after the wedding and the host kindly offered us a lift which got is out of a spot. Great stay.
