Cabin vacation rentals in East Cook

We loved our stay at the cabin! It was clean and the kitchen was fantastic. Shelley was proactive in communicating what to expect. The hot tub was lovely, and the perfect way to relax after hiking around the local Provincial Parks. This was perfect for exploring the Thunder Bay area!

We enjoyed our little getaway in this cabin. Chad was very accommodating and worked with us when we asked if we could come a day earlier. The house was beautiful, unique and cozy. Our boys have already asked when we can come back and visit again. Thank you for a great weekend away!

This home was absolutely gorgeous! The photos listed were great but it was even more immaculate in person. Such a cozy spot with great views of Lake Superior. We will be coming back for sure :)

This was such a comfortable and cozy place to stay. It can get cold at night on the north shore in October, but a nice fire in the fireplace kept the cabin warm. The cabin is right off the road but perfectly secluded and private. There were a lot of nice extras like books, games, etc. I will most likely stay there again in the future. It was perfect!

Ivan and family were fantastic hosts. They supplied us with basic supplies in the kitchen to use & a s’more kit knowing we had kids along for the vacation. Our family had a blast kayaking, having bon fires, enjoying the sauna and just enjoying the views from the deck and dock. There were games to play in the evening and a variety of toys for kids to use. The inside fire place was super relaxing to grab a book and read near. Our 1.5 year old dog felt right at home as well. Ivan responded right away when we had questions. Thanks for an amazing Canadian getaway for our whole family.

We stayed at John's place in the winter, and it exceeded our expectations. The place was clean and well-stocked. Running the log stove and sauna were a must, as they were the only way to stay warm. We saw a wolf and many other wildlife during our stay. Snowshoeing on the nearby lakes were a highlight. The trails marked by Dave were easy to follow, along with the maps they provided. If you are looking for a peaceful trip surrounded by nature, you found the right place! Thanks to John and Dave for being so helpful and responsive.

Terri and Aaron's cabin was perfect for a New Years reunion with friends! It's a short drive from beautiful hikes and downtown Grand Marais. The cabin had all the amenities we needed and was very cozily decorated. As a bonus surprise, there was a small menagerie of adorable, friendly barnyard animals a few steps from the cabin. Feeding them was a favorite part of our morning routine. Terri is very friendly and accommodating, and we could not have wished for a better host!

This cozy cottage is the most peaceful little hideaway from home! It has everything you need for a short trip. My fiance and I enjoyed our stay with a lake view out of every window. Nice private lot to bring your dog along. It's close to all the must-see spots and the beach across the street is worth a visit.

Location was perfect in the bay at the end of Loon Lake. Fun to use the dock and canoe and firepit in the evening. Easy to find but helpful if you have a 4x4 truck to get back there and in and out of the driveway. Great hikes close by home. The Border Route Trail is just down the road a quick 5 min walk from the home and a wonderful hiking experience. We had a great Trail experience complete with loons and moose. Perfect for 2-4 people. The host is friendly and accommodating. This was a great spot.

What a stunning cabin! It’s so cozy and the host has thought of all the little things to make guests comfortable. The view of the lake is gorgeous, especially on a clear winter day. Everything was so easy and relaxing!

Molly & Phil’s cabin is perfect. Great location to the snowmobile trails. The description doesn’t inform you that it’s literally just a short ride on the lake to the trail. Wanted to let other snowmobilers know when looking for a place by the trail system. The cabin was so well decorated and had everything you would need for your stay. We loved the wood stove. Loved that we felt secluded. It was so peaceful. We would have loved to stay longer if we could have. We will be booking our stay for next winter but will plan an extended stay with our son to enjoy all the winter sports offered in this area. Great hosts! We meet Phil when we got to the cabin and he told us exactly how to get on the trails. Very pleasant and respectful. Thank you for hosting us! We look forward to staying again.

This place was amazing! The view was unbeatable. We happened to hit it during peak Fall colors and during a local studio art tour- what a treat! Lots of parks and hikes around! Sunrise!!!! Restaurants are plentiful in Grand Marais. The shower situation and outhouse was a little less adjustment, but we made it all work and it definitely wouldn't keep us from coming back! In a sweet way the privative living made us appreciate our lives more and added to the experience! This place is just perfect. Plan to carry your trash out! What a treat!

Wow, this cabin was an absolutely perfect winter stay. We were looking for a peaceful winter retreat tucked into the north woods, and that is exactly what we got. The cabin itself is an incredible mix of modern and quaint and was extremely cozy; the hosts were extremely responsive and helpful with local recommendations for snowshoeing and cross country skiing; and the town of Grand Marais has so many spots to try. By the end of our weekend, we were all talking about how we'd love to come back next winter and how this was our dream cabin. Highly recommend!

We had two families stay together and felt like there was plenty of space for everyone. It is a short drive (~5 mins) to/from Lutsen Mountain so was an ideal place for us to stay as an alternative to a ski in/ski out option. Nice big entryway for all our snow pants, jackets, ski boots, etc. The place is very well kept and clean. It was great having a bathroom on each level. There are lots of stairs - main kitchen is on 2nd level and main TV watching area is on 3rd level - so something to keep in mind. The house is located on a very quiet road. There were several deer that walked through the yard that we could watch from the windows which was pretty cool. Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

A beautiful cabin for a winter weekend retreat with amazing surroundings and lots of privacy. Appreciated the heads-up regarding need for 4 wheel drive in the winter-- was easy going with our Jeep. The cabin itself was awesome and we stayed nice and cozy with the stove fireplace. Beautiful hiking just a mile away! We will definitely stay again!

My partner & I are up north multiple times each year, and stay at different places -and this cabin was by far one of the best! We were not left for wanting a single thing, except maybe to spot a Fox! The cabin was immaculate, cozy, beautiful, and presents even better than it reads. 12/10 and we will definitely be booking a repeat stay. Owners are kind, helpful, and responsive. If you haven’t yet stayed here, you must.

This is our 2nd time staying at WoodSong and it has become our favorite cabin rental on the North Shore! The cabin is so clean and has all the amenities. The fire pit outside is perfect and the fireplace inside provides us with such a cozy atmosphere, especially since both of our stays have been in December. Rebecca is a fantastic host - the perfect balance of just right communication, and the attention to detail within the cabin is fabulous. We will definitely be booking WoodSong again on our next stay on the North Shore.

This is a great little cabin located in a very private area. It was winter, so we weren't able to enjoy the net hammock but we wanted to :-) The circular staircase to the lower level (where the second bedroom and third bed are) is very tight. Our suitcases were small enough to get down there, but we would have struggled if they were bigger. I also missed the fact there wasn't a dishwasher. Luckily my sons were put to work.

Great space and location, easy to get to many of the state parks and hiking trails. If you enjoy star gazing there is little to no light pollution and a clear view from the deck for enjoying the night sky.
