Vinod and Shruthi are such amazing hosts. Though we only stayed for a day we enjoyed our time by the river. It was so peaceful and serene. Their house is very simple and neat. Please don't expect anything fancy and luxury but both Vinod and Shruthi are so warm and welcoming and do stay here for the experience. They were really super helpful and responsive to all our needs. They even provided us dinner upon our request since we were really tired after a long journey.I would highly recommend Vinod's place if anyone is planning to do a trek to Ranipuram.

We wanted to stay in a quaint rural setup in Bekal while also being around to see some Theyyam performances. The little outhouse here is a typical traditional Kerala home and was as described. The Aircon was a boon in the hot month of March. The location is a rural suburb and if you have your own vehicle, there is nothing to worry, roads are well laid and good quality too. Alternatively try renting a scooter as we did though they aren't easily available. Rajeevan will help arrange other transport if necessary. He was the perfect host, who helped us with all needed information on theyyam and the local spots. Never intrusive but always around to help with timely communication. Uncle and Aunty who live next door are also very kind and sweet. We totally recommend this stay.

Room is clean and neat with super silent air conditioner, wardrobe with locker and cloth hangers, bedside tables, dressing table, spongy bed with multiple pillows and extra bed in case required. Washroom is clean with hot water and other amenities. Kitchen equipped with all appliances and essential consumables, compact dining arrangement. Inverter & ironing facility also available. Near to Bakel fort and beaches. Thrikkannapuram Thriambakeswara temple. On the bank of Bakel river. Cultivated coconut, arecanut & other fruit plant. An upcoming farm is a good view. Complementary breakfast is served, lunch & dinner to be managed by the guests. Nearby restaurant contacts are made available at the villa. Hospitality is fantastic throughout the stay and reachable over phone at any time for any assistance.
