Monthly Rentals in Berry Creek

I spent 6 nights at Julie & Andrew’s place. The cabin in the woods was as described, except the dog and rooster were much quieter - not at all disturbing. Andrew was outside when I pulled up and helped me open the lock box. Julie greeted me through the app and responded quickly to all of my messages. It was a nice place to come “home” to after long days of touring, hiking and seeing friends. I did not like coming back at night though, as the turn-off to the street is not easy to see and I am just getting used to GPS. Also, I overlooked the fact that there wasn’t a microwave on the amenities list, but it turned out I didn’t really need one. The price was better than other places in Grass Valley, and I think it probably was nicer than some that cost more.

The loft was exactly as it’s seen in the photos. It’s a very sweet one bedroom. We had everything we needed and really enjoyed all the comfort. The lighting was nice, the AC worked great on those hot Chico days, the decor was lovely. My mom and I stayed here after being evacuated from the Park Fire, so it was so nice to feel safe and at ease. Gail was very kind to us. The neighborhood is super cute, like a mini replica of downtown Chico with beautiful big green trees shading the streets. We were even able to walk to the Italian restaurant near by one evening which was a perk. It was a quiet area as well. The front seating area was sweet but we were there during smokey days due to the fire so the ants and beetles were crawling around a lot, probably because of the AQI. Other than that it was a fantastic location and close to many errands we had to run. It’s ideal for a couple or single person. Definitely recommend it! It’s not far from other areas of Chico. Jenny is an incredible host. Her place is inviting, warm, welcoming, and the perfect retreat. She goes above and beyond for her guests, and I always feel like I’m in a home away from home. I’ll be back!

We had a lovely stay at Brittany's! The location is serene and has an incredible view of the hills below. Gorgeous sunsets every night! The house is extremely comfortable; we wanted for nothing. Comfortable furniture, smart TV, excellent appliances, cozy beds, good water pressure (hard to do in CA!!) and just good attention to detail. The home is gated in and detached from the host's, so you have plenty of privacy. It's a quiet and peaceful getaway for sure. During our visit, the microwave stopped working, and Brittany immediately replaced it for us. She is extremely committed to her guests and was so helpful and attentive. She has a lovely dog, Sullivan, who came to say hi to us, so the customer service is top notch ;) (if you don't like dogs, she will take steps to keep him away, but he is a sweetie!) We look forward to many more visits!
