Vacation rentals with a pool in Arco da Calheta

The place is spotless. But the pool did not heat up. It could be because it was slightly rainy and the weather was not great, but the annoying thing for me is that the main selling point of this place is the heated pool and we did not get to enjoy that. I still have it a perfect score because I was convinced by family that the place was awesome and I would return in the summer but would not trust that the pool would be properly heated. They sent someone to fix it he was helpful but just informed that it would take time, anyways the place is great it has everything amazing view, just not a proper heated pool.

It was the best place I've ever rented from Airbnb. Everything was as in the photos. Very quiet. The pool and ocean views are amazing. Spacious bedrooms with bathrooms. Very clean. Snow-white linen. It is not recommended to be here without a car. But, if you like walking, probably you will enjoy. It was very interesting to check neighborhood. We walked around a little bit. Very secure. If you see someone around, it's only local people. They are very friendly. I never seen homeless or beggars around our place. I can confirm, that you will not find any unfriendly people on this island. Tennis and billiard tables will not make you bored. There was practically no wind. The island exceeded our expectations. We won't go to Tenerife again. Orlanda was great. We are ready to return to any of her homes. Orlanda helps with some my questions about Madeira. She is number 1. Thank you for your hospitality.

Casa Dos Francelhos is a true paradise on earth! From the moment we stepped through the door, we felt at home thanks to the exceptional hospitality of the host, Antonio. His attention to every detail made our stay unforgettable. The house is stunning, beautifully designed, and surrounded by breathtaking scenery. Antonio is a man with a big heart, always ready to help and ensure that everyone feels special. We highly recommend Casa Dos Francelhos to anyone looking for a place full of peace, charm, and authentic Portuguese hospitality!

My family had such a wonderful time in this house. It had everything we needed – a home away from home. The kitchen was well equipped and we had lots and lots of towels which were needed for our big family of 7, plus the swimming. The view is unparalleled – we watched the sun set over the sea a few evenings. The beds were comfortable, everything was clean and tidy. In the evenings when it got a little cooler, there were many extra blankets. I appreciated the screens on the windows to keep the flies and the bugs out, although there were still a great many flies, but the electric fly zapper provided proved to be a source of entertainment! There are some books and some games, but we never made use of them because we spent our time either in the pool or exploring the area. We went to the nearby beach in Calheta and also to Fanal forest. The house was a great base to explore the beautiful surroundings. It was a great experience for our whole family and I would highly recommend this home!

The house is very spacious, nice, clean and maintained. It has everything you need for a longer stay. Our kids loved the pool. The place is rather quiet (just some dog barking occasionally) and small but beautiful. There are restaurants and a cafe with mini market. A larger supermarket is about 10-15 minutes away. A rental car makes sense if you live in Porto da Cruz and want to make excursions. There are also buses. The car can be parked on the premises. Access to the house is possible without extremely steep roads (as it often exists in Madeira). We felt very comfortable in the house for 2 weeks and can highly recommend it.

The house and especially the garden are amazing, we felt like being on vacation the first second after we arrived. Bruno answered a few questions we had immediately. When the warm water didn’t work, he came to us after 15 minutes and sorted everything out. He gave us great recommendations and spoilt us with biscuits and local wine. It was the perfect stay there and we are already missing this place.

Nelson's house exceeded our expectations, and we immediately felt at home. The pool is in the sun from about 12-5pm, which is ideal for relaxing during the day. The driveway is a bit narrow, but easily accessible with a "normal" car. The stay is perfect for four. One day, however, we had the problem that the garage door didn't close. We then called Nelson's brother, and within two hours he came by and fixed the gate. A small negative point was that the beds were a little too small for our taste.

New, cozy, and tidy apartments in a nice location. They offer a beautiful view and include everything you need inside. Highly recommended!

We had a very nice stay in Adriana's apartment. It felt like we were the first. Clean and cozy, modernly furnished. The location is great and the amenities except for a dishwasher perfect. The only personal preferences would be softer mattresses. We also always found a parking space in front of the apartment. The pool is also great for relaxing after a trip. Thank you. We will be happy to come back.

Great place with a lovely host. The location is very nice, walking distance to the sea and bathing areas. There are supermarkets and nice restaurants in the area. We saw the New Year fireworks from the building rooftop terrace!

Well appointed apartment. All the features of your own home. The 2 bedrooms are en-suite. Plus a service bath for guests. Air-conditioning / heating ensure for a comfortable stay. Lovely daytime & nighttime mountainside views. Located in an area easily accessible to small markets, cafes & a pharmacy. It’s about a 30 minute uphill hike from the Avenida do Mar district. Easily accessible to the airport. I’d suggest taking a taxi / ride share from the airport only because the airport shuttle bus drop off is a bit of an uphill hike to the apartment. Overall, a really great apartment for either a short term or extended visit to Funchal.

Very nice place, made me feel like at home. Comfortable beds and pillows and nice balkon . Very good communication with host. Location is very good, close to ocean and many restaurats. I will come back!
