Cottage vacation rentals in Yorkshire

A beautiful place to stay. We were a little early to see the trains but the home is lovely and comfortable with everything we needed. It’s ideally situated for days out in the surrounding area. There were pheasants in the field opposite which our kid loved as well!

We had a wonderful stay! The place was clean, cozy, and exactly as described. The host was super responsive and made sure we had everything we needed. The location was perfect, with easy access to Barnard Castle. I’d definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!

The cottage was cosy and clean with lots of things to keep us entertained- especially the darts board and hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked and modern and the local host was very helpful and responsive when we needed help as well. Overall I would 100% recommend and well worth the stay :)

Great host! Very easy to locate Very nicely decorated with everything you need. Scarlett was very responsive on text and sorted everything out for us. Also the recommendations found in information booklet on the coffee table was very helpful - we tried out Arthur’s for breakfast and were very impressed Thank you again ☺️

I would highly recommend visiting The Old Potting Shed if you're heading to Yorkshire. Rachel & James thought of everything to ensure our stay was enjoyable. They realised we were visiting with three toddlers and so checked on our needs at the point of booking to ensure we had all we needed upon arrival, which was a lovely touch. It was clean, well equipped and situated in a stunning location. James popped in to introduce himself and check we had all we needed for our stay. Thank you Rachel and James for an enjoyable experience! We'd love stay again some time.

What a beautiful cottage with such a stunning view! It was easy to find and so private. We absolutely loved staying there, it was so cosy and comfortable. Waking up to the sound of the crashing waves was so relaxing and I've really missed that since we came home. Lisa answered a few queries I had very quickly and was so friendly. If it was my cottage I'd want to keep it for myself, that view is probably the best view I've ever had from a holiday home, even on an overcast day it's breathtaking. We would stay there again in a heartbeat ❤️

Lovely relaxing stay and lots to do.

We had a lovely stay and cottage is gorgeous, it is small but perfectly formed and I will stay again one day. It is quiet and peaceful and although yes technically it is in the garden of the owners, you would not know and still very private and secluded. Great location, you can walk in the countryside or find great pubs and restaurants close by plus shops if you need. I did not meet the hosts in person but they kept in touch with me through-out the stay to check if we needed anything. I 100% recommend this place, it is simply magical.

Had a great stay at the cottage, it was a great location to get into Buxton and surrounding areas. Allie and her family were available when needed and were friendly and showed us the cows up close but gave us plenty of space. It didn't feel like you were on top of each other at the farm. The cottage was really nice itself and clean with the surrounding areas really beautiful. Would recommend the cafe at the bottom of the lane (2 min DRIVE) and the red lion pub in Litton( 5/10 min drive) the food in both places were really nice. Would definitely recommend this stay and I will be back if I'm ever visiting the area again!

An amazing property, best I’ve booked on Airbnb. Beautifully presented, extremely clean and very well stocked. You can tell the love and care that has gone into creating this rental and Julie clearly has very good taste. Everything you could possibly need - Julie has included it and she’s gone the extra mile with lovely extra touches. The cottage is well located right in the heart of Tideswell with walks and restaurants on your doorstep. If you have a dog, the boot room outside is fantastic with its warm shower and Julie even supplies dog towels and shampoo. I cannot recommend this property enough and we’ll most certainly be back!

A wonderful cottage in a fabulous location. Fizz, fresh bread and homemade jam to greet us. Lovely warm and surprisingly large cottage with a gorgeous view of the ford. Great walks straight from the door with wildlife aplenty (sadly no red squirrels but our host did point us to a hotel where we managed to see them). All in all, a cracking place to stay.

Lovely little cottage in the heart of Staithes picturesque fishing village. Only a short stroll to the seafront, pubs, tearoom and cafe. Car park at top of hill very easy to use and a few spaces outside the cottage where you can bring your car down to load/unload. Nice touch to provide fire logs, kindling and matches as other places we have stayed at with a log burner have not provided anything to get you started. Would definitely go back to Staithes and stay in Marvic cottage again, but for longer than 2 nights next time.

Amazing stay with me and my friends for a birthday week. Perfect location and perfect base for all our hikes during the week. Definitely recommend

we has a great stay, clean and v comfortable, some lovely walks along the canal and riverside, Malham Cove circular was awesome, lots of choices for places to eat from pubs to restaurants and a lovely Chippy, regular buses to and from surrounding area, Skipton has a wide variety of shops etc. overall a fantastic few days spent here, Thank you Jeremy and Jacqui

Absolutely loved our anniversary stay at Crumble Cottage. Was everything we needed for relaxation and more On check in, Stewart was on hand and gave us an overview of the place, surroundings and suggested great places to visit and eat. The cottage itself is approx 15min walk into the centre of Cartmel - with great places to eat and drink there We visited the Wolf Predator experience by Grange-over-Sands - it was amazing!! Really enjoyed the comfort of the cottage and the tranquility- Will definitely be back again! Thanks for having us (Heidi & Craig) ☺️

We have been here a while due to house renovations , Nothing but 1st class service . Always helpful Always responsive Very very clean. Lots of clean linen . Location is stunning , watching the wildlife especially the “Kites” are awesome at dusk . Peaceful surroundings . Local pub food very good . Lots of walking and a handy book to help you find your way . Highly recommended .

Catherine is an excellent host, great communication and keen that everything is ok, quick response to queries raised. lovely welcome touch, of milk, cereal, bread, pastries, fruit juice jam, butter and apples and a supply of tea and coffee. Lovely compact cottage with a good kitchen, with a dishwasher and microwave. peaceful and quiet, away from everything but only a short drive in to Kendal

I booked this for my wife's 40th. the host was outstanding with there responses and efforts to make my wife's birthday special. they organised balloons/banners and flowers for when we arrived, and seafood from the local fishmonger for our evening meal. The cottage was extremely well equipped, the best I have seen yet and the cleanliness was to a very high slandered. I would highly recommend and look forward to coming back in the future.

A wonderful cottage in a beautiful village. The cottage itself was perfect for us, had everything you need and a really thoughtful welcome pack comprising of bread, milk, butter etc. The kitchen is extremely well stocked with everything you need to self cater. Living area is very cosy and comfortable. Upstairs is equally comfortable with a good sized bedroom and en suite bathroom. Bridget is an excellent host who was very communicative and helpful. Will definitely stay here again and can highly recommend.

This is our 3rd time staying at Martin's cottage. The space was clean and well-maintained, and everything they needed was provided. Martin is very responsive and helpful, making the check-in process smooth and easy. The location is aso close to their worksites which makes it a plus point. Definitely recommend this place!

Zeta's place was so peaceful, with beautiful surroundings. We really relaxed and the break did us good, after a difficult time. We loved the pool, jacuzzi and sauna. Zeta was friendly and very helpful. A lovely place. We will return again in the warmer weather.
