The house is located in an amazing environment: small canals where you can observe frogs and herons, and a stable adjoining the garden. The wild geese flew over our breakfast on the first morning! Very nice house. And idyllic location: visits to Etam, Hoorn, Alkmaar, Petten and Amsterdam. In short, a very nice stay!

Gerd is a very friendly host. The communication was always quick and good. The apartment is very large and you have enough space. I was in Alkmaar for work and was very happy about the parking in front of the house. Unfortunately, I was there in winter, so I could not use the seat in front of the house /in front of the canal. The apartment is a little away from Alkmaar. For the beech of the city you have to organize the bus / train. However, everything was ideal for me.

The house is beautiful, and the place is very quiet. When we arrived Jose accompanied us ( they live in the house next door ), she was very friendly. The downstairs Dining-kitchen area ( very well equipped)is beautiful and you also have a garden area with a Gas BBQ and a small toilet.The top 2 rooms with very comfortable beds, also a bathroom with shower, here would be the only one but that would put it in the house as there is no toilet and at night if you have any need you have to go downstairs. The location of the house is fine, about 35 minutes from the area of Volendam, Edam, Marken… and bird 40 min from Den Helder which is where we took the ferry to go to Texel. You also have a supermarket 4 min by car. We were there for 4 nights. I recommend it 100%
