Beachfront vacation rentals in Whitley Bay

I have stayed in a lot of Airbnb's around Europe and I honestly think Gary's place is one of the best. Gary was extremely helpful and friendly. He provided us with great knowledge of the area and we went to the recommended restaurants and they were great! We also were a 5 minute walk from the beach which was perfect for what we wanted. The house is fully equipped so we didn't need for anything, and we had so much space. We came during a storm so it was great to have such a warm and cosy house to stay in and watch TV and play games in to shelter. Thank you, Gary!

My wife and I had a wonderful stay at Peleview Cottage with our two dogs. The cottage is great, spotlessly clean, and the location is incredible — right beside miles of golden sandy beach! (Sea view from the back of the cottage) Nigel’s communications were great — super friendly & helpful host! Also had left a lovely welcome pack for us, including a chocolate cake, locally produced jam and some milk…all waiting for you upon your arrival at the cottage. Highly recommend a stay at Peleview Cottage. I recommend bringing lots of extra logs with you for a winter stay! (An initial basket full of logs would have been appreciated, but the fire was prepared and ready to light with a few logs to get you started) Could also only find one toilet roll & no shower gel, so be sure to bring your own with you, enough for the duration of your planned stay. All-in-all…you will not be disappointed…this cottage is a great find, in a superb beach front location. Highly recommended!!

Amazing place to stay. It was better than we imagined. Wish we could have stayed longer and will definitely be back. Perfect accommodation with beach on the doorstep.

Lovely little house in a very quiet cul de sac. Very easy to find and to get in. It was lovely to arrive with the heating and a light on. A lovely welcome basket of treat for myself and husband and a lovely jar of treats for our cocker spaniel she loved being included 💞 so Jo’s place is extremely dog friendly not dog tolerated like some :-)) Hot water was plentiful and a good shower. Own parking space. Jo was extremely kind as she gave us an early check in and then a lovely surprise to offer us a late check out - thank you so much 😊 It’s a perfect location for visiting Durham but also for a peaceful retreat just for relaxing 😌 We would certainly recommend and would love to stay again if in the area :-))) xx

A smart, stylish, well appointed, immaculate and very comfortable house in which to stay with plentiful heating, hot water and splendid view across the beach of Newbiggin. Nancy was keen to ensure that our stay was enjoyable and provided all that we needed.

Great 2 bedroom groundfloor apartment in fab location over the road to the beach. Sea views and nice sight of morning sunrise over the North Sea. Apartment was spacious with private patio looking out to the sea and garden to let our toy poodle out for a run. Kitchen was well equiped with washing machine, oven and dishwasher. Other local places to visit are The Stack at Seaburn(10 mins walk) fab food and entertainment venue. Mastons Grotto an amazing resturant and bar built into the beach front rock face.(10 mins drive or bit longer on the bus) Our host was always in touch asking how we were getting on and if we had any questions. Highly recommend this apartment and will be back for another stay.

We had a relaxing stay at Pebbles. Situated in a very picturesque park overlooking the sea and the wind turbines which I felt were quite mesmerising! The park itself has everything you need from entertainment, pool and restaurants. The beach was fabulous and we thoroughly enjoyed the rock pools and scenery. Lots to do in the area especially if you like castles and history. We would recommend a stay at Pebbles.

Absolutely gorgeous caravan . The lock box for the key isn't the easiest place to access if you have trouble bending or if the ground is wet This caravan is beautiful, fantastic location, parking space and its at the quieter end of the park. I would highly recommend anyone to book with Christopher, he is a fantastic host and I would definitely stay again. Thanks Christopher

David is a very nice person who hosted us like family. There were even small gifts for the children, which made them very happy. Everything was as described and shown in the pictures—pleasant and clean, just like home. I recommend him with a clear conscience.

Superb location, beautiful sea views and stunning sun rises both days of our stay! Immaculately clean with everything we could need, and really well stocked! The heating system was fantastic which is a must in the winter months! Would definitely stay here again during the summer time the kids absolutely loved it!

we just came back from our 3 nights stay at Simon's place and it was fantastic we took our 2 kids,my MIL and my Mother with us and they all loved this caravan. we spent most our time sitting outside in the verandah watching sunsets and sunrise ,the views were beautiful from our caravan we would love to stay at Simon's place again

We got very late for check-in as we were driving from southeast but Anne was so understanding and had amended check in accordingly. It was a scenic, lovely and clean place to stay with everything available that is required. I would love to stay at Ann’s place every time I visit North. Looking forward to seeing you soonxx

This is our second time staying here. Feels like a home from home. Gorgeous views across the sea. Quiet despite being in the centre of everything. We enjoyed the fabulous breakfast in the Lamp Room. We will be back.

Helen and Peter were friendly hosts. When the weather got chilly Helen quickly turned up the heating. Views were amazing. Private off street parking definitely a bonus. Comfortable beds.

Our first time in an airbnb and it was a great experience. The house was well kept and had the necessary equipment/comforts that a home needs. Definitely will be staying again in the future.

Great place to stay with family. Really conveniently located with all that you need within walking distance - even the local swimming pool. Lovely property - home from home when we were there and the kids and dog loved it. We were there over Christmas and it suited us perfectly. We even had a lovely Christmas tree and decorations.

Stayed at Calico Barn for my 30th birthday and loved it. Super cosy and beautiful surroundings. Alison was very helpful and provided more logs for the fire. Only thing to be aware of is that the kitchen has two small fridge/freezers and one oven - but Alison was very accommodating and provided us with an extra freezer. The bunk beds were very comfy and roomy. I’d definitely recommend Calico Barn and would very happily come back.
