Beach house vacation rentals in Whitby

We had such a lovely few days at this beautiful seaside home. There were lots of lovely touches such a doggie treats and a bottle of wine. The beach was just a few steps away and we were lucky with glorious weather. BUT even if it had been rainy it was lovely and cosy with board games and books on hand. Highly recommended!

Our three day stay was just perfect in this beautiful house which was immaculate and pristine with every home comfort we could need. Great position on the cliff tops and within walking distance of Whitby and its lovely shops, restaurants and cafes. The wine, coffee and delicious fruit cake which had been left for us on arrival was such a lovely touch, and I loved that there were lots of little extras such as books and games. It really was 'home from home' and we will definitely be staying here again. Ian is really responsive and a great communicator, and in the days leading up to our stay, he provided us with us so much useful and helpful information. All in all, a wonderful setting for a relaxing pre-Christmas break. Thank you Ian and Sara!

The house has a fantastic location looking out directly to the beautiful North Sea.. And is so well equipped with everything you could possibly want and really close to the town centre with funky bars and shops.. I can’t recommend this house enough and Saltburn is a real hidden gem … well worth a visit ..

A fantastic location for peace and access to the beach…. And dog friendly. Lots of space for our grown up family and friends for my 60th birthday weekend. The kitchen is very well equipped. Will definitely try to make it back….. hopefully before my 70th.

Would give six stars if possible! Beautiful house in a great location. 50 yards from beach, 50 yards from pub, 100 yards from restaurant. The house itself is lovely, and bigger than it looks in the photos. The owners have done a great job in mixing original features with modern touches. Beds were warm and comfortable, fully stocked kitchen, cosy front room. Matthew was easy to contact and all the directions were easy to follow. When can we move in permanently?!

We are just back from a wonderful stay at Whitehead Hill house. We are a group of two families - parents and two little Girls each. We loved how cosy and clean the house was. Lovely decor and comfortable beds. Our kids felt straight at home and loved unpacking their things in the rooms and the communal sitting room was spacious enough for us all. The kitchen had essentials like cleaning products and tinfoil etc. the house is so close to the seafront and the kids loved the amusements and beach. We would love to visit again :)

Great place to stay with beautiful view and a great space outside for the kids to play

Lovely comfortable and clean house. Great location for the beach and to get around the local area. The kids enjoyed the board games, bucket and spades and playing with other children on the site. We enjoyed a walk along the beach into Filey which was nice. The house was lovely and warm and cosy. Also liked the fact there were plenty of hangers and space to store out stuff! We struggled to use the swimming pool on site because it was so busy with it being Easter holidays and the weather being bad. This is obviously no reflection on the accommodation itself but our kids were a bit disappointed as that’s one of the reasons we booked the place. Just worth bearing in mind if visiting in school hols - best to go early morning.

Had a lovely week at Seaspray, everything we could need was there, lovely house and amazing views of the sea and the cliffs. Would definitely go back.

What a perfect stay we had at No44, thanks to Denise who is a fabulous host. Checking in was easy and everything was spotless. The extra touches such as the welcome packs for us and the dog did indeed make us feel welcome. The lodge is in an excellent location, very quiet and yet close to the amenities, very well equipped with everything you need for a great stay.

We had a wonderful stay at the Arches . Both host were very accommodating and easy to reach. They even put up Xmas decorations for us as our stay was over Christmas. So that made our children very happy. Surroundings were beautiful. And very pet friendly . Very pleasant stay 💜

This is a great spot - looking out across the bay - and we all spent some time sitting with a book in the lounge window. There are so many windows the light is great, even on a dull day the house feels bright and airy, and reassuringly dry. You can be on the front in two minutes, or heading up towards the Brigg, or out across the sands towards Hunmanby Gap. On a bright day Bempton Cliffs are very well-lit. The dinging room has a huge table, we enjoyed our meals around it - and drinks afterwards, whilst the children were up watching the huge tv in the lounge. The children were very happy in the twin room. One couple had the large upper bedroom, which is huge with bright windows and a harder bed. The other double is much smaller with less of a view, and a softer bed. Swings and roundabouts. We brought two dogs: one elderly collie, one young schnoodle. There was plenty of room for them and we all loved it. We look forward to coming back!

Bay Bank House in Robin Hood's Bay is worth a stay. It's a beautiful home and garden - an ideal place to enjoy this stunning and unique location. We had a wonderful visit which began and ended with helpful, warm and welcoming communication. Thank you Linda and Jordan! We highly recommend booking, as it exceeded many of our needs and expectations.

great mattresses and pillows. sofa in living room really comfy. nice lay out terrible shower, couldn't rinse shampoo out, had to flush both toilets twice, needed a few more cutlery and crockery

We had a lovely stay here as a family of four over New Year. The house was perfectly located to walk into Whitby and the view from the living room was beautiful. The kids particularly enjoyed seeing the steam train go past! We would definitely recommend the house to friends and family.

Fabulous location for a few nights in Filey with restaurants, pubs, takeaways and supermarkets virtually on the doorstep. A short walk to Filey Station with options to the North and South for anyone interested in walking the coast path. Rachel's place is welcoming (some special Christmas considerations were fab), cosy and very well equipped. After a walk back from Scarboroughin the freezing fog a couple of our party certainly enjoyed the jacuzzi bath. Rachel's proactive in her communication and very flexible - a great host to deal with. Recommend!

Such a great house with lots of extra supplies. Lots of DVDs. tv in both bedrooms which was great. Toilet both upstairs and downstairs wonderful and helpful host who was happy to answer any questions. Hoping to go back soon

Had a wonderful stay with family in this fantastic house. It had everything we needed for a relaxing and enjoyable stay at Whitby. We had a couple of queries and Richard was very helpful and responsive. Would definitely return.

what a great place to hold our first family reunion. our host Victoria was very accommodating with respect to change of check in time and always responded quickly to questions. The property was ideally placed for walking round the local area and there is so much to do within a short drive. The train station was within walking distance for our party members who don't drive so no problem for them. All in all a thoroughly enjoyable experience with Victorias place. Top Marks.
