We had to book this place late at night due to flooding in one of our care homes. The host responded with in 5 minutes, was very friendly and understanding of our situation. The next morning she brought over some amazing treats for the clients and staff. As we assessed the damage in the care home she let us extend another night so we could work on repairs on the home. I would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend!!! 🫶🏻

We really enjoyed our stay! The guest house was the perfect little space to spend the night with our baby, and everything was spotless. I was also SUPER appreciative of how gracious the host was when I mistakenly booked the wrong dates and showed up a night early- eek! One star guest, five star host haha!

Loved our stay in Mt Shasta at basecamp lodge. Cute little space for a couple days. It was a bit on the pricey end for what you got. There are no extra blankets or pillows which would have been nice. Hosts are responsive to issues and are professional. Overall a great stay!

What a magnificent view of Mt. Shasta! Absolutely stunning just sitting in the living room and having that view. It was very cold up there (obviously, it’s winter) but the house was lovely and cozy the whole time. Kitchen has everything we needed and Janet is just a sweetheart - communicating regularly, checking in on you, giving recommendations for good eats - just a wonderful getaway place. (But still very conveniently close to town!)

Toad Hollow Vacation Home

Toad Hollow was great for our group of 7 adults and children. We loved playing in the snow, sitting on the front porch, building puzzles on the big dining room table, cooking meals in the well stocked kitchen, taking baths in the clawfoot tub, watching dvd’s, and walking to restaurants in town. Toad Hollow is close to Mt Shasta ski park. The large mud room was great for offloading snow gear. It was nice having a washer and dryer to dry wet snow gear! Jill was very responsive when we accidentally deadbolt locked the keypad door and went out the back (the back door has a door knob lock that can be pulled closed and locked). She came by and unlocked the house while we were at the ski park so we didn’t have to deal with not being able to get in when we came back. We would recommend Toad Hollow for its cozy, like home, atmosphere.

I have spent most of my life serving in the hospitality industry . This was an incredible home to be refreshed in. Jacques' attention to detail, communication, the walkability of the neighborhood and extreme comfort was such a blessing. I have visited Redding, CA many times over the past decade, and usually stayed in hotels. This was without a doubt the most restful lodging that I have experienced in Northern California. Even the neighbors were welcoming!

We had a great time! Our accomodations were wonderful. Very clean and was so happy to have a warm, cozy place to come back to after long days skiing. We had a good amount of restaurant/coffee options within walking distance which was a definite plus!

Beautiful and Relaxing Guest House!!

The best stay we’ve ever had for traveling with our dogs. They loved running around this expansive property, and it was just beautiful with the creek in the back. Very private and quiet area, and the bed was so comfortable after a long drive. Highly recommend and will be back!

The place was great. No issues with neighbors, and it is walkable to the town center. There is a great view of Mt. Shasta (always a plus). There is an awesome cafe at the Mercantile "Spill the Beans" great for fresh pastry, coffee and lunch (a must try destination). Having stayed in many places in this particular area, I am pleased with the location, amenities, and cleanliness. The host was easy to work with, responsive, and kind.

We had a great time at Karen's place! It's in a good location with good views and is better-furnished/stocked than a lot of the Airbnbs we've stayed in (it actually looks like a place someone might live!). We also really appreciated the welcome basket Karen left us, as well as the later checkout time (although we didn't end up needing it). I would definitely stay here again!

We checked in at night, and it was easy. I wish they had lights up the driveway to help with the potholes, like they had on other parts of their property. Other than those holes, it was a great stay! The kids had a blast with the pool.
