Cottage vacation rentals in Wheeler Lake

Dock Holiday absolutely exceeded our expectations! We were looking for a clean, well-maintained rental that offered solitude, space for family activities with our teenage sons, and closeness to nature. Will’s cabin did not disappoint. The hosts not only offer an amazing lakeside cabin retreat, they create an experience for their guests through the small touches like a personalized welcome message, a bottle of wine upon arrival, and access to “extras” like detergent, hand soap, etc. We literally just had to show up and enjoy ourselves. The cabin itself is clean and obviously well cared for. It’s beautifully and tastefully decorated — comfortable and homey without feeling like you were staying in someone else’s house. We also appreciated the high quality furnishings, including even the outdoor furniture and amenities. We can’t say enough about the perfect experience we had staying at Dock Holiday! Thank you Will and family for making our holiday getaway one we will always remember!

My family and I had a great weekend in Guntersville at Tracey's property! Last minute weekend getaway with my 4 kids and we all enjoyed our stay. City Harbor was an unexpected gem that I just so happened to find while looking for things to do around the area. It's less than 10 minutes away and we went multiple times during our stay. I highly recommend getting breakfast at Another Broken Egg Cafe!

We had a great stay. The house appears to be new and is very nicely laid out with lots of comfortable beds. We really enjoyed the hot tub and the direct lake access via the dock. It was a bonus to have the use of some good kayaks, the location was in a nice little cove with good fishing right off the dock.

My friends and I had a wonderfully relaxing girls’ weekend at this beautiful cabin. It is perfectly situated on the water and 20 minutes from the Main Street area of Guntersville. 100% recommend

The house was all we were looking for, cozy, private, peacefully and very clean. Stacey was very friendly and she responded very quickly. I would definitely recommend and stay again at stacey place

We would absolutely stay here again! Jimmy and Leigh were so personable and generous with their time by showing us around the property, and providing a lesson for how to work the wood burning stove in the living room. The common area where the henhouse and barn are located are just a short walk from the cottage, and our kids LOVED the hay fort! This was their first vacation as free range children, haha, and they enjoyed the independence! If you’re looking for peace and quiet, you’ll find it here.

Pictures don’t do it justice, you walk in, it is beautiful, peaceful, in my opinion, perfectly decorated and extremely comfortable. Could not have been better! Sheila was a very responsive and lovely host.

We had an amazing stay at this house over Christmas. The home was beautiful and also very clean and well organized! Kari put up Christmas decorations, which made the space feel cozy and welcoming for our family. My kids were so excited and we loved our time there. Everything was perfect! The thoughtfulness and care put into the house really stood out. I highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a gorgeous, comfortable and well-kept home away from home.

We absolutely loved our stay, the cabin is absolutely beautiful! We loved both porches. The amenities were amazing! Homemade banana bread, kitchen stocked with eggs, candy, snacks and every condiment you can think of. Bathroom included every single toiletry you could ever need or might have forgotten to bring. Our 3 kids loved playing board games, watching tv on the porch, swinging on the tree swing and looking at shooting stars. Amazing host, beautiful Airbnb, highly recommended staying here, would definitely stay again.

Cute cottage and neighborhood by the river. House was cozy and comfortable. Didn't get to spend a lot of time there as we were there in the area to work. The surroundings were very peaceful and beautiful!

The Clementine Cottage was perfect. It was cute, quaint, CLEAN, well outfitted with lots of nice extras. She had brochures on all the nearby activities. We fished, we kayaked, we sat around the fire pit, we enjoyed the screened porch. My only complaint would be that I mistakenly thought the cabin would be a little more secluded but even with that being said, it was quiet, it was serene, we enjoyed our long weekend very much and are talking about another trip there. And Gloria is a great hostess. We were pleasantly surprised at how nice everything was.

Loved this Lake home! Super close to Stoney Lonesome and room for my trailer to off load my jeep :) loved it!

There were some things missing in the kitchen, but Danielle took care of that the very next morning. She communicated with me well and was so very helpful.

This is one of our favorite places to stay when we come to Sewanee! I always check here first for availability. The cabin is always clean and welcoming, and communication with Dan and Teresa is so easy.

We really enjoyed our quick girls getaway! The cottage was centrally located to shopping and restaurants. Only 1 suggestion would be to provide more than 2 washcloths and 2 coffee cups. Everything else was wonderful. Would definitely book here again.

This place was like going to your grandparents. They have all the snacks, and anything else you need. The yard is spacious and our little girl enjoyed playing in it immensely. This place is meant for relaxing and that's exactly what we did.

We have family in the area and needed a place near Gurley AL to accommodate others. Our stay was great and provided everything we needed (although the weather could been better!).

My brother and I shared this place to get together for the holidays. it was near our Holiday meal location. the family absolutely loved the amenities and used the bikes to ride the trails nearby. I wish we could off had more free time to spend. it was a great addition to our holiday travels. I would absolutely stay here again if given the opportunity.

A place to stay over the holidays can be tricky, but we had everything we needed with no stress! Hosts were forward thinking on making sure we had everything needed and detailed instructions were provided for all household amenities. Beds were clean and comfortable! Also, a fresh bar of soap might be a small detail but was much appreciated effort! Would be great to come back in the summer and use the lake! From our family to yours, thank you!
