Kid-friendly vacation rentals in Wheaton-Glenmont

We booked Stay Bubo's place less than a week before our trip after our other Airbnb reservation was unexpectedly cancelled - right during spring break and cherry blossom season. This was place couldn't have been better - and was even closer to our friends who we were visiting. It was spacious with plenty of room for two families. We especially enjoyed the open living space with the kitchen, dining area, and living room - and lots of seating with two couches and an arm chair. Also so many bathrooms! Thank you for saving our trip and providing such a comfortable and clean place to stay!

Would definitely stay again! Only had one little hiccup with an outside house appliance which Jennifer took care of almost immediately. Responded very quickly on the Airbnb messenger for everything and was easy to work with. The house itself was incredibly spacious and ready for our group. It was very close to the things we needed to get to and really worked out well for us.

We really love to stay at this house. The hosts are always responsive, polite, friendly, and acoomodating.

Our family of 7-2 grandparents, 2 parents, 3 teenagers-came to the DC area for a visit. When we arrived, we were overwhelmed with how nice the house looked. The house was immaculate, and we used every room in the house. The two bathrooms on the 2nd floor have been fully remodeled as has had the kitchen. We ate breakfast and dinner every day and it was easy to cook there. We enjoyed being together as a family and being at this “home”. Yet the house retains the flavor of a historic residence. Tyler is the perfect host. He answered every question I asked before we arrived and then continued to keep in contact if we needed anything else. We highly recommend this house.

Vidale’s place was great, plenty of room for a large group, we were a group of 25 and all slept comfortably with enough room with the two extra added spaces. The place had everything we needed. Will definitely recommend staying here. Thanks Vidale!

Spacious, conveniently located house with beautiful views of the South River. Nicely furnished with antiques. Gracious and responsive host. As others have noted, stairs to second floor are steep and not suited to those with mobility issues.

Elaine’s place was immaculate and just as advertised. It was perfect for our group as it had everything we needed. She was very responsive and ensure our stayed was great. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone.

Steve's home was the perfect location for our family visiting DC over a long weekend. It was comfortable, spacious, clean, and in a lovely neighborhood. It's close enough to walk to the zoo, which we did, and were lucky to have seen the pandas that day. Steve provided clear instructions and helpful recommendations, as well as provided a parking pass for our vehicle. We enjoyed each morning cooking breakfast in the kitchen and having coffee in the sun room of the home overlooking Rock Creek Park. If visiting DC, we would recommend staying here.

This place was immaculate and so conveniently located. Short walk to the zoo, park, and restaurants. It was very kid friendly. The hosts were so gracious and friendly. We will definitely stay again when we are in the area!

Melissa’s place was lovely, great appliances, comfy furniture, everything we needed for our stay. Beautiful walkable neighborhood right by the zoo and great restaurants, also very close to bike-share. Melissa was quick to respond and very helpful. Highly recommend!

Our family of five (including three children) stayed here and had an amazing experience. Over the past few years, we have visited DC multiple times and stayed in various Airbnbs, but this was by far the best. The living space was incredibly comfortable and cozy. The location was perfect for touring the Smithsonian museums, and there was ample parking space for my minivan.

Great location and place to stay in DC. A rather spacious basement apartment unit in a multi family dwelling. Easy access to Columbia heights metro station. Price was fair and there were no issues. Super responsive when booking and even allowed early check in, which I appreciated. Would stay here again without hesitation.

This location and apartment was wonderful for our family! We felt super safe, public transit was within reasonable walking distance, and the apartment was exactly as described and pictured with absolutely anything you could think of covered - they really accounted for almost every detail. The neighborhood was really nice and Ubers to main attractions in DC were super reasonable, etc. We didn't bring a car but felt very able to get around anywhere we needed to go. Our host had great local recommendations for food as well - Beau Thai, Joia, and La Tejana were delicious! We would definitely come back for another visit because there was so much to do in DC. If you are a walker too, you aren't far from the zoo... we had our 3 year old, it was a little far for him so we caught the bus. Our 3 year old was also pleased to have a "baby spoon" at the airbnb and all of our kids were super comfortable there. Wifi worked great! Thank you so much for a wonderful first time in DC!!!

The location could not have been better! The place had everything one would need. Mark was very responsive and handled any questions. Highly recommend.

This was our second time staying at this awesome place! Located in the historic district of downtown Frederick it was close to everything we were looking for in food, drinks, and the theatre. Everything in the condo is new and very clean. Incredible amenities including a full coffee bar and a stocked kitchen pantry. The two parking spots were very convenient. Anne was super easy to work with and very communicative.

I've stayed in a few different places in Occoquan, which I adore!! This one is by far my favorite for the location and it really is a great value!!

This air bnb was in a great location. Very quiet neighborhood. The rental was exactly as explained and looked like the pictures posted. I appreciated that there was a designated parking spot. Not to Willie's fault, but we could hear the upstairs neighbors when they were walking around.

For a larger party of people, the price is hard to beat. Sleeps 8 comfortably on average of 60ish a night... right in the heart of downtown Frederick. The security and intro process to getting into the apartment is a bit of a hassle, but it does provide a nice safety element. It's slightly hard to park and unpack (especially with multiple people driving separately) but the walkability and convenience far outweigh those concerns. Overall, excellent location and I would recommend it highly.

Very nice place to stay near Gaylord convention center. Super clean condo. All the essentials are there. Lots to do at the resort as well as nearby walking distance. Having a baby in the group we did quite a bit of laundry. A laundry room was on our floor with two washers and four dryers and free of charge. We barely passed anyone on the seventh floor. We would def stay here again.
