Monthly Rentals in Wheatland

Sittin' Pretty Farm is a special place and Steve is a special host! We had previously stayed in one of the tiny houses on the property and really enjoyed the reclaimed materials and funky/cozy vibe. This new cabin is much larger (2 floors plus a sleeping loft) but just as creatively designed and appointed. It was bitterly cold in the area during our stay, but the wood stove kept us comfortable and warm. Full kitchen and bathroom were much appreciated. While the property feels secluded, the town of Viroqua is just a 10 minute drive away, and The Driftless Cafe, Wonderstate Coffee, Cakery and Bake Shop, and Norwegian Hollow Hideaway (Friday fish fry) are all must-visits. The Viroqua Co-op is our favorite place to buy groceries and local products. Finally, Steve is a genuinely friendly and conscientious host who responds quickly to messages but respects guests' privacy. We plan to return in warmer weather!

Everything was great! Cute little cabin! This was a cold-weather stay, but Iook forward to sitting outside on a future stay. Clean, cozy and plenty of room. Parking is right by the front deck, and that is always a plus. One of the owner's children stomped out a giant "HI" in the snow outside the front door. Didn't notice it until the next morning and it made me chuckle. I'd worried about seeing the culvert-crossing at the end of the lane in the snow and dark coming back to the cabin at late hours, but it turned out to be fine and completely visible - so if anyone has worries about that - don't! Very nice place and I hope to stay again!!
