Family-friendly vacation rentals in Westcliff-on-Sea

We had a wonderful Christmas week at Flagpole Cottage. The hosts' home was clean, welcoming and extremely well-equipped. We had everything necessary for preparing family feasts, having a wood fire, plenty of bathrooms and comfortable beds. Robin and Francine even left a beautifully decorated real Christmas tree for us the enjoy (and put our presents under), a very thoughtful touch. We enjoyed the hot tub and trampoline (we were lucky with the weather, cold but not rainy) as well as the local walks to pubs. We bought our Christmas turkey (ordered in advance) at the fabulous Flower Farm shop, which is nearby and is a great source for all things edible. Robin and Francine's guide to local amenities and activities is thorough and quite useful. Robin was very attentive and open to queries but everything was so clearly laid out we didn't really have any questions. One last thing - the gardens are exceptional - even in December! I was in awe - especially the topiary. The old yew trees! xx

What a hidden gem of a place! We feel so lucky to have found Stable Oak Cottages and to have spent New Year there with our family celebrating our sons 18th. The place was gorgeous and the hot tub such a treat! The alpacas were great entertainment and the luxurious little touches from bath robes and sliders, to home baked bread and muffins were just wonderful. Highly recommend.

What a great find. A lovely apartment, had everything we needed & some lovely extra touches (wine & chocolates!!!). Natalie was a great host, super easy to deal with & quick to respond. Apartment is conveniently located to explore Margate on foot. Free Parking no more than 10 minute walk away from the apartment. We had a lovely New Year’s break here. Thank you x

I cannot speak highly enough of this place- there was a large group of us and we all said it was one of the best Airbnb’s we have ever stayed at. It has a lovely fully equipped gym, a roomy and warm hot tub, spacious kitchen which was wonderful to cook a huge Christmas lunch, and a cosy living room to chill and watch movies. Lisa was a fantastic host who was always really responsive, helpful & very kind, and she even left us some Christmas treats and decorated with a Christmas tree 🎄 We couldn’t haven’t asked for a warmer host or house for our Christmas so we are so thankful & happy we chose to stay here! Thank you Lisa! We definitely would love to stay again!

Sally was an incredible host and the barn is absolutely beautiful. We had an amazing stay. It is so peaceful, beautifully designed and the small details like the robes and the toiletries provided that extra special touch. We all agreed it was 5 star through and through! Beautiful property and we wouldn’t hesitate to stay again. If you get the chance to book, do it! You’ll have the best time.

We had a great vacation at Brett’s place, conveniently located in a peaceful neighborhood. We really enjoyed walking to Katherine’s Dock for coffee and food. The home is well maintained, everything is equipped. We three of us enjoyed privacy with plenty of spaces!

We had a great stay , the hot tub and jacuzzi bath were amazing and the alpacas in the morning was a nice touch to the stay. We would deffo stay here again thanks for having us at your lovely place

I booked for a little get away for me my partner and 2 children before the hustle and bustle of returning to work and school for us all. It was perfect! Very cosy and chilled few nights away just what we needed. The apartment had everything we needed and the hot tub was a perfect touch to unwind in! Thank you so much Graham!

This is an excellent place for two families to have a comfortable, happy stay. There’s loads of activities in the house that are geared around social interaction and family bonding the space is light and well designed and the kitchen is well equipped. The walk to Whitstable is around 45 minutes and a perfect length to build an appetite and keep kids entertained as you pass along the coastline. We hope to return.

We were very comfortable in the Fisherman's Cot and our doggo had a lovely yard to run around. Loved the wood-burning stove for cozy nights of reading and early to bed. Walkable to beach and town - thank you for a great stay! Also loved the fresh eggs from your hens <3

this is the second time I have stayed here. it has been refurbished and the kitchen completely renovated. it is a small space but perfectly big enough for 3 adults. we didn't have our dog this time but it's great for dogs as the garden is all enclosed. the neighbourhood is very quiet. everything you need for a great stay.

The house was very very nice and pretty large which we needed and in a superb location. Very nice quiet street but also very close to Church Street and all its amen. The kids playroom basement was a real bonus for our kids. Kaz was very friendly and really helped us out by letting us drop our 4 suitcases when we arrived in Stoke Newington otherwise we would have had an awkward few hours! She also let us move into the house early which was also very appreciated. Overall it was probably our best Airbnb experience to date.

Deanna was a wonderful host, so friendly, helpful, responsive and accommodating - absolute pleasure to interact with. The house was terrific, in fact the description didn’t do it justice - fabulous. Perfect for a large group of people with everything you need. Clean, cosy and felt like home from home. My friends and I had a fantastic weekend. Would definitely recommend and go back.

Lovely house with nice touches all over the place. Only downside, some of the beds (we found) were a bit hard.

We had a great stay on the house, absolutely loved it. Everything was perfect, nice and cosy with all the essentials you would need. Great location with a lovely view of the harbour. Would love to come back again anytime the house is free. Richard was very accommodating as well to us with any requests we had.

We had a lovely stay. The caravan was perfect and the beds super comfortable. The view was beautiful,the pictures dont do it justice. We were lucky with the weaher,it was lovely sitting on the decking in the beautiful Autum sunshine. Just wish we stayed longer. Thank you.

Nev couldn't have been more thoughtful. The pool was wonderful. The location has loads of places in walking distance and a huge number of places by train and car. There were a couple of bits and pieces that didn't quite live up to our expectations, but Nev always worked to get round things and it's all immaterial really.

The cottage is clean, welcoming and quaint, with a log burner and beautiful Christmas tree glistening in the corner. We felt right at home straight away. There are plenty of games and things to do in the house to keep the guests entertained. The kitchen is well equipped for those who want to cook at home. It is the perfect place for relaxing and cosy winter getaway.

A fantastic lodge which had everything we needed for our stay and was spotlessly clean. Michelle was lovely and met us on arrival to explain everything. Would highly recommend.

Beautiful accommodation right near the beach, added bonus of hottub which was used lots. Décor was lovely and very spacious, had all the amenities you'd need.

Great house to spend time with friends for a 50th. Very close to Canterbury which has lots of great shops, bars and restaurants. Also close to Chapel down and a couple of stellar pub do lunch out dinner. The house was everything we needed it to be and the pool was perfect!
