Cottage vacation rentals in West Wittering

We had such a fab time at Wisteria Lodge. We were there for a few days for our minimoon straight after getting married. I asked for a vase so I could enjoy my bouquet longer, and we were delighted to be greeted with a Congratulations card and welcome hamper with prosecco along with a vase. The guest information folder had all we needed to know in it but I'm confident that had we needed something more that Jane and Jeremy would have been quick to facilitate. I recommend this place to anyone. If you like old traditional pubs with timber frames too you're in for a treat here as there are a few nearby - we managed six on a three mile walk! :D we then relaxed in the hottub for a bit before bed, bliss!

Sue and Robert were excellent hosts. The cottage was well equipped and very clean. Shower had good power and the beds were lovely. We had a nice relaxing break.

Helena and her husband Phillip were great hosts! Very thankful for them . The stay was great, they provided a loaf of bread, some bread and butter . Very beautiful home , stars at night from the bed room . Would recommend to anyone! We stayed two nights if booked again I’d stay at least 3 or 4! Thanks again!

Really relaxing, comfortable and peaceful. Superb decking area and private garden area. Lots of places to visit and the setting is lovely. In fact, met all our expectations and more! Really pleasant stay in sumptuous surroundings. Outstanding host!

Neil was a great and flexible host. We based ourselves in the Airbnb over Christmas and he made a special effort to make it feel festive, with a Christmas tree and decorations. On arrival he came to welcome us and show us how the stove and hot tub worked. The house was spotlessly clean and comfortable and everything done to a high standard. Directions to the cottage were 100 % easy to follow. Highly recommend.

One of the most gorgeous places we have stayed. Didn’t want the trip to end. Clare’s home is beautiful, the area is so peaceful and everything from the ducks to the deer to the hot tub and place itself are absolutely magical. Would highly recommend to anyone wanting to explore a beautiful area but also ranting to wind down and relax.

Tanya was very communicative. some of our group were arriving from all over, and was always happy to be avaliable for questions. we were celebrating a friends birthday, and so Tanya recommendation great pubs, which we had a good bottomless brunch. Tanya we very kind and generous with our group, also, as on site, happy to show us around the pool amd hot tub. we were made to feel very welcome and at home. Nothing was too much trouble, even to help show us how to use the oven. very good value for money and we had a great time! t

Such a beautiful retreat with wonderful hosts, who lit the hot tub before I arrived! Great touch. The barn is gorgeously decorated, bed is super comfortable and there’s a lovely walk and local pub for lunch. Perfect get away.

We booked this beautiful space for my mums 60th Birthday and she loved it. Angel and Sam (apologies if I got his name wrong!) were brilliant hosts. thank you for your hospitality!

What a wonderful find. Alex’s place originally caught our attention as it had an EV charger for our electric car. This proved extremely useful for our stay. Thanks to this we booked this for our December stay snd we’re not disappointed. Clean, comfortable, warm, fully fitted with everything we need. The bed was very comfortable. The location was perfect as it was sited on a beautiful private estate. We will definitely come back in 2025 to visit family and friends.

Stayed at the hideaway for our anniversary, it was such a beautiful and peaceful location with the most amazing view. The house was full of beautiful art and photography and we felt at home right away. It’s in a perfectly secluded location whilst still being so close to so many lovely pubs, restaurants and shops. Would most definitely stay there again!

Beautiful cottage, was very well equipped, cosy and comfortable, a lovely welcome hamper awaited us too. Very well placed for exploring the local area, we visited Chichester, Bosham, Pagham harbour and Arundel. Our dog was very comfortable here too as there was a fully enclosed little garden. Would highly recommend this property and felt it was very good value for money, we will definitely return

Peaceful location, annexe equipped with all necessary amenities, great place to stay and lovely location . Slept well , owners very friendly and responsive.

The cottage was everything that the description stated. Beautifully presented and well appointed. Access was very simple and easy. The owners had left a lovely note of welcome which was much appreciated. For anyone wishing to attend any of the Goodwood events during the year this cottage is perfectly located for each access to the estate. We would have no hesitation in using this property in the future if we plan more visits to Goodwood.

We had a fabulous stay with our 7-month-old. The cottage is beautiful, clean and comfortable with real character. Everything was provided to a high standard, the bed was comfortable and the shower excellent. Richard and Gaye are the best Airbnb hosts we’ve ever had - they thought of everything we might need, including providing spare toiletries, breakfast (amazing homemade scones, jam, honey and biscuits!), high chair, cot and even storybooks for our daughter. They met us on arrival, provided recommendations and Richard even spotted that we had serious damage to our car tyre and helped us get it replaced at a local garage that day! Superhost doesn’t do it justice! The village is picturesque and quiet with two nice pubs and a small shop. We went on some lovely walks directly from the village and also visited Hinton Ampner which was 20 mins drive away. Highly recommended!

Great quirky 2 bed right in the heart of Arundel. As a young family of three we very much wanted a place with the bedrooms on the same floor and this hit the mark. We’ve stayed in several airbnbs over the years in Arundel and they pretty much all have steep stairs, as this one did, which is no exception. Mark actually lives here part time so this place feels the way airbnbs used to: full of homey items, a fully stocked spice rack, cooking utensils etc (so many places don’t even leave you with salt these days). Added bonus were all the children’s toys and books accessible if desired- very much our case. The apartment is in a cute cottage on a public parking lot and at the back of a pub I think, so although there is definitely some daytime commotion, it is surprisingly quiet at night. Thank you mark- the welcome chocolates were promptly enjoyed and we will certainly be back!

We had lovely time this July in Bembridge. Fintray Cottage was close to the beach and also close to Bembridge village centre. We thoroughly enjoyed the big garden it came with. The house has a large kitchen, ideal for a big family or for the occasion of entertaining guests. Will definitely recommend.

We had a lovely stay - lovely house, very comfortable and easy to live in - home away from home! It would have been nice if we could have checked in earlier (4pm felt very late) and checked out later (10am is very early) but apart from that we had a great time and I would recommend the cottage for those wanting a relaxing stay in a beautiful area. It was a bit further away from the beach than the photos suggest but walk is pleasant and the beach beautiful.

Fantastic two bedroom property. I really recommend this for exploring the west end of the South Downs. We walked and cycled several sections during our stay. The property is finished to a high standard and is well equipped. It was great to have the use of a washing machine when we returned to the property with muddy clothes after exploring. We'd like to go back in the future.

The location was perfect. Lodsworth is a great place to stay, close to lots of lovely walks, and Richard's house is opposite the most wonderful pub. There is a village shop across the road, which is extremely convenient. We had a comfortable stay, and the place was spotless.

Teresa is a the perfect host. I stayed for a longer than usual period than most and was made to feel very much at home in her cottage. The grounds lead onto the Ashford Hangers which make for great walks and exploring. Yet a 5 minute drive (35 minute walk) takes one to the old market town of Petersfiled which has everything one needs shopping wise. So be surrounded in nature sharing this quiet tranquil space with deer and local wildlife looking out up at a night sky perfect for star gazers (very little light pollution), or slip into the middle of life, as you wish. The cottage has well equipped kitchen (no dish washer but that would ruin the mood anyway in my opinion), an open fire perfect for this time of year (winter) as well as central heating. I recommend Teresa and her cottage with 5 stars. I hope there is a vacancy here next time I visit this area. Ian.
