The Ultimate in Luxury at Eagle Ridge Retreat

We had a great 1 month stay at Alex's "Eagle Ridge." Appropriately named, we saw several eagles everyday. The property is very private. The nearest neighbor is 300 meters away as the eagle flies, across a valley, and on an adjacent ridge line. Although private, it's not isolated. Only a 7 minute drive to the Todd Avenue beach access points and only a 7 minute drive to downtown Yeppoon. The owner/host lives locally. We happened to meet her in town unrelated to our stay-- wonderful person. The home is mostly windows that provide great cross breezes; the inside feels like outside. The infinity pool stayed surprisingly cool and refreshing considering the summer season. The daybed is plenty comfortable for sleeping.

Farnborough Beach Cottage (beachfront)

Location and Views! This was a blissful 4 days right on the beach in this comfortable holiday house with the best verandah in Queensland. The house is in a quiet neighborhood, situated beach front with a huge rear yard, very well fenced (kept our dog Ted secure in between long walks on the miles of sandy beach). Looks unassuming until you get up the stairs to the verandah. We spent hours in the comfy chairs on there, watching the sea and the birds. Didn't try the open air clawfoot bath - would be ideal in the winter though. We had great weather, but it wouldn't have mattered if it had been rainy. Was a perfect fit for a couple and a dog, but there was another bedroom if needed. Yeppoon seems to be booming, and there is plenty of choice for eating/drinking out, if we could only have torn ourselves away from that view. Thanks very much Meg for hiring out your lovely beach house.

Nice little beach shack. Clean, tidy and comfortable inside. Aircon in the bedrooms was good. And it was fun playing pool downstairs. Great views of the beach out the front and of the creek and hills out the back. A very beautiful and peaceful spot to spend the weekend. Thank you, we enjoyed our stay.

Large apartment in the centre of Yeppoon with good views over to the Keppel Islands. The apartment is bright and airy and had everything we needed, and more, for our 3 night stay in Yeppoon. The balcony is a lovely place to sit and relax and enjoy sundowners and an evening meal. The apartment is close to the main beach and restaurants - all within easy walking distance. Jacqui is a very helpful and responsive and made us feel very welcome.

We had a great stay the house was perfect and welcoming. Great walks on the beach and up the hill. Quiet road for kids to ride bikes or cross to the beach. The sunset views from the deck are amazing.

We had a fabulous time using Mark's place as a base for exploring the region. The house was clean, the beds comfortable and the proximity to the beach was a huge bonus for us. The Sister's Coffee Shop was a wonderful cafe within walking distance and we had a great surprise finding a fresh pineapple cart as we walked home with the most delicous pineapple ever. Thanks Mark for hosting us.
