Monthly Rentals in Wanaksink Lake

This Airbnb was stellar. A few of the things we loved: the retro chic mountain lodge decor, comfortable and warm bed, heat already on for our arrival, beautifully tiled bathroom and excellent water pressure, fully stocked kitchen equipment, and our favorite touch: fresh coffee beans! As we were working outdoors during our trip, these amenities were above and beyond and resulted in a very cozy stay in the midst of a snowy winter. We absolutely loved Jesse’s place and are already looking for when it will next be available! Thank you Jesse and Steve!

Such a sweet, well-equipped space. Everything was neat & tidy, and John's place had everything we could possibly need for our 3-night stay. Loved the drip coffee maker (other guests might prefer the Keurig), but the choice was there. Thanks for that option! Wildlife in backyard was just what we hoped for and proved an endless fascination for our dog. We will most definitely book John's home again if it is available the next time we are in the Wurtsboro area.

Cozy stay in a quiet town. We last came to Mountain Dale in 2023 and found delicious food at the local restaurants, as well as scenic nature. We loved finding a pet-friendly spot for a long weekend getaway! Note: our Prius didn't have enough ground clearance for winter storms, not a problem in other seasons. Pros: delicious restaurants, easy hikes nearby, cozy space. Cons: The boiler is hot hot, so wash carefully.

My job extended my work contract and I needed a place to stay. When I booked this place I was excited! it looked quite and peacful, and perfect. I did not realize how true this would be. to say this place was perfect is an understatement. i felt right at home. To be honest, I didn't want to leave. Brian was absolutely amazing. Responded right away if I needed somthing, and was just so kind. As I said this was a perfect peaceful experience! I loved being surrounded by nature, seeing all the wild animals come through, and loved sitting fire side at night. I truly hope and cannot wait to go back. It is nice to know there is a place out there that feels like home with wonderful people around you.
