The house is located on the most beautiful beach, very private but just a few hundred meters from turtle beach and several restaurants and beach bars. Sunil and his colleagues were amazing. Sunil went out of his way to meet every little requirement we had. He is the most genuine and nice person you could ever imagine. We would love to come and stay again.

An amazing place to stay and enjoy the beauty that is Mirissa. Till was very proactive and helpful, with everything right from the instructions for the house to local recommendations. The house is very lovely, we were a big family of 8 and each one of us enjoyed the stay.

We recently stayed at this stunning property with our toddler and infant, and words can’t fully capture how incredible it was. The place is not only beautiful but meticulously maintained, offering an extremely comfortable and clean environment. The views were absolutely breathtaking, and every room we stayed in had a perfect sea view. Traveling with small children can sometimes be challenging, but this place made it so easy. It’s incredibly safe and child-friendly, which made our experience even better. The staff was beyond courteous and helpful, going out of their way to assist us whenever needed. A huge thank you to Lauren and Neal for hosting us — your hospitality made our trip unforgettable. We highly recommend this place to everyone!”

I have just spent a magical few days in this beautiful villa. It’s clean and bright and beautifully designed and so peaceful overlooking a paddy field. The staff are delightful and can do or organise anything for you. The swimming pool is a big plus. I can’t wait to come back !

Myself and my family spent five nights in August Beach House. It was the perfect place to chill out for a few days with everyone and surf. The house is right on the beach and the back garden gate opens onto the beach where there there are plentiful surf rental shacks and surf lessons to be had. The house benefits from a large shaded private garden and lots of communal space inside. Each bedroom has AC and an en-suite. There is also a private pool which was great for the kids and to cool down from the mid afternoon heat. Weligama is a good beginner location for surfing and I imagine there are more advanced surfing locations nearby and lots of bars and restaurants on the main strip although we tended to go to the same one or two places. Special mention to the August Beach House staff who made breakfast and did laundry, we did not want them to clean our bedrooms each day but they offered to do so! All round perfect house for chilling out and surfing on your doorstep.

We loved our stay at Villa DC. It was perfect for our two families (4 adults and 4 kids). We spent numerous hours in the pool soaking up the sun and playing games. There were many delicious, beachfront, restaurants within walking distance. Our host, Dilan, went above and beyond the expectations of an Airbnb host. He was always on hand to provide help with getting taxis, ice, toilet paper and drinking water. We even ordered several delicious local meals, cooked on site by Dilan and his family. Such great value for money! We would love to stay here again and we would recommend to others.

The villa is fabulous! Absolutely stunning, spacious and private. Looks exactly like pictures. Sudda was extremely responsive and helpful. I would highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Weligama.

5 min from the beach and up in the jungle, it’s the best place to stay if your looking for the calm. Breakfast and Yoga sessions were great. The staff very kind. I recommend 100%.

So, you’re obviously looking for accommodation in south-west Sri Lanka – well don’t look any further than Sailor’s Bay. From the minute you enter this paradise, you will be welcomed and charmed by Dilan and his family. The environment is gorgeous – any stress totally disappears. Nothing is too much trouble. They are engaging, and genuinely go out of their way to ensure that every second of your stay is a second to remember. Our family (13 – 3 generations – ages 2 – 74) was continually astounded by their willingness to do the best by us . It was a sad time when we left, but happy in the knowledge that we will return. So, take my word for it – Sailor’s Bay will not disappoint even the most pedantic traveler.

We are very satisfied with our stay at the house. We lived on the 2nd floor of 3 people. Each had their own bedroom with a shower, air conditioning in each room. Very nice internet! There is something to compare with, ideal for work. He kept working even when the electricity was turned off in a thunderstorm. Loved the common space kitchen and the living room with the windows to the floor. As if you are on a terrace all the time, there is a sense of space. The kitchen has a lot of good dishes, it was convenient to cook. Washing machine and laundry rack. There was a family of my wife and son downstairs, they tried to help in everything, very responsive. Susil brought us drinking water for us, it is very convenient. His wife cleaned, we really liked everything, there was always clean linen and towels. And Tara's son on the last day helped my friend who was very sick. Helped reschedule all of her stuff. Thank you! Very satisfied with the choice of accommodation and meeting with such sincere people.

Great welcome from Amila and her family. The house is a little out of the way, but Alima transports us wherever we want. The price is reasonable and displayed in the room. Alima and his wife cooks very well. We would recommend it.

We were incredibly lucky to choose this villa. The villa has everything you need for a comfortable stay and even more! A beautiful courtyard, a nice pool, a cozy room and all the necessary amenities! And also the most uncrowded and stunning beach next to the villa! But most of all we were captivated by the care and hospitality of the Duminda’s family! The first visit to Sri Lanka turned out to be unforgettable. We thank you from the bottom of our hearts, and the parting gift conquered our hearts!😍

Stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment. Great location with large rooms and balcony. Host was thoughtful and interactive and breakfast provided was a lovely touch. Felt like staying with family. Thanks Uncle Dam!

Valentina’s place was ideal for us. A short walk to the beach and plenty of nice restaurants in the local area. Valentina was very responsive and made sure our stay was perfect. Would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Sri Lanka.

The Spice House is a truly beautiful place to stay, it is so green, amazing rooms, peaceful and kind hosts/staff. The bed and pillows were so comfortable too!

Guy was very helpful. The access to the pool from washroom and the outdoors is crazy.

Perfect place for a little romantic getaway in the beautiful Galle fort! You couldn't ask for a better location, kinder hosts, and a more delicious breakfast. Highly recommend staying at the Dutch Wall:)

We are extremely satisfied with our stay at Dreamtime. The staff are absolutely wonderful and very helpful. The breakfast was a real Sri lanka experience and we very much appreciated it. We stayed at for a week and came to appreciate the serenity after the hustle of Galle. The home cooked food was amazing. The best we ate in Sri Lanka. The monkeys and birds kept us entertained. So did the mosquitoes - be warned. We loved the pool, and Praneeth brought us beers and pool towels - you have to ask but they are very obliging. The site is far steeper than we imagined. It is a hybrid homestay hotel. No kitchen or longer stay facilities, but they will provide food and what you need if you ask. Bring an extra pillow and eye mask if you want to be comfy - and a blanket, but it is clean and pretty. I was a bit shocked at the shower/bath - more a trough and I was scared to climb in. But I got the hang of it and enjoyed the ritual. I would not recommend for people with mobility issues. We hired a driver. Essential. He cursed the road though... it was rough on his car. In all, a nice hide away for a short break from the hectic pace of Galle, clean, nice hosts and great food.

Wow! What a beautiful place this is. I was blown away by the surroundings as soon as I stepped in. The pictures are accurate but also don’t do justice to how beautiful it is. Keveen welcomed us with a welcome drink and the most friendly welcome we’ve had whilst travelling. He was so helpful with booking us taxi’s, providing recommendations, lovely conversation, and a breakfast box when we had to leave early for the airport. The other gentleman there (sorry I didn’t get his name) was also wonderful and took our bags to our room and was always there with a smile. The room is unbelievable, a gorgeous scent when arriving and spotlessly clean!! The bed was one of the most comfortable I have ever slept in and the breakfast was lovely by the pool with that amazing view. I would come back in a heartbeat if I am in Sri Lanka again - what a gorgeous stay with wonderful staff. Thank you!
