A newer place to stay, really close to the airstrip. Very quiet! Comfortable bed, great shower and no bugs. The air conditioning & Wifi works well. Pro tip: - Schedule/book activities before arrival. Typically, the tours will pick up right at the main road. (Te Mao Scooter sign) - If you want a scooter to get around, book it before getting to the Atoll. - Ask about holiday store/restaurant closures. We ran into this the days after New Years. Some businesses close for a longer holidays - Bring water shoes, as the shoreline has lots of coral. - Ask about the local restaurants The Maitai hotel has a restaurant about 1.5km very good, Dinner reservations a must. Cafe Rio only open 1800-2000. Great burgers and pizza & lots of food about 1.5km away. Les Relais de Josephine - great food, reservations a must, one set menu , 6 km away - Ask about transportation companies/taxi - Make sure you have Whats App working.

Mariana is really nice and kindly. The property is really nice and clean. It’s a new house and really comfortable. We are really enjoying our stay. They provide the water you can purchase after your stay, it’s good for us because you don’t have to go to market and the price is pretty nice. If I can come back I will definitely chose here again I’m for sure.

Wendy’s place is worderful. Simple but genuine house. Very welcoming atmosphere and you feel immediately at home. She does her outmost to make your holiday perfect. No matter were you are in Fakarava, there is never more than 100m to the beach. Make sure to rent bicycles, because the motu stretches 10km to the north (where the best beaches are) and 20km to the south. There is one bike at the house, but if you need more, Wendy will assist. If you want a genuine Fakarava accomodation this is it. If you are not fluent in french, Wendy’s place is even better…she is the english teacher in the village.
