I really loved this homestay. Very nice and cosy place, bit away from the city but close to reach any stores and restaurants. You can start hiking straight from the house. Calm neighborhood. Especially appreciated warm welcome from the host, all her help and hospitality.

Staying at Cinnamon EcoLodge was the best experience in Vietnam so far. Staying in the middle of nature, surrounded by Cinnamon trees, rice fields, a mountain village, and animals was so peaceful. I also really enjoyed the home cooked dinners with Gioi and his whole family, they were so welcoming and made me feel at home. A few other highlights were the local market, the walk/hike through the village, and learning how to harvest cinnamon. It‘s very close to Sapa, but away from all the tourists. Big thanks to Gioi and his whole family. They also helped with organizing transportation. I can totally recommend staying there if you’re looking for tranquility and a local Vietnamese experience in nature.

This has been by far the nicest place we have been to in Vietnam. The host offered us a hikingtour and we went on the most amazing hike for some 8 hours. The price for the two of us for the hike (300.000 Dong including lunch for two, or 500.000 for motorcycle) is very reasonable and he knows the area very well. His house is the nicest we have seen in Vietnam, very light, clean, beautifully made and very comfortable (hammocks to relax in). Moreover, the food was phenomenal - we haven’t had this good food in Vietnam (not even in a restaurant). The price for breakfast is 50.000 (not included in Airbnb price) and lunch/diner 150.00. A fantastic price for the high quality of the food. I you want to meet truly nice people go here. I truly recommend it over the Dong Van loop. When we left we even got a big bag of green tea from him because he saw that we liked tea so much. To get there, you can take a local bus to Nâm Dịch where he can pick you up. The bus from Ha Giang takes some 4 hours and is an experience by itself (price 80.000). You can also get on the bus at Tân Quang.
