Monthly Rentals in Thongsbridge

This is an absolute gem of a place and could not have asked for better accommodation. Comfy beds and some nice touches with the small fridge etc. Lovely peaceful surroundings not far from Holmfirth and lovely friendly and helpful hosts. I will def stay here again.

Simon is a great host. Usually responds within 5-10 minutes with messaging. He is very knowledgeable and Friendly. The surrounding areas are farmland and hills with sheep, horses, and cattle. It is all very beautiful, including a very close-by footpath that overlooks a good bit of it. The area is very quiet also. Walking into town has some really nice views along the way and is approximately 20 minutes. The nearby town is holmfirth which has cafes all over, restaurants, bakeries, and large and small food shops. The drive in is very short and finding parking is only a challenge at busier times of day. Loved it. The flat has everything you’d need in it. It has a big comfortable bed. The views from the flat are exceptional and it is so restfully quiet inside. There was rarely much noise at all from outside unless a bird was perched really close by. There is no microwave in the kitchen but Simon let me borrow his because as i need one to live. Highly recommend.

Stayed for 2 nights over a weekend with my husband, 5 year old and mother in law. It was a little family get away. The house was amazing, tidy, private, well decorated, clean, many house essentials provided and an amazing little welcome basket was just delightful. Although the house is very modern it also boasts many original and quirky features keeping the beautiful countryside theme throughout. 2 bathrooms and 2 bedrooms, the main lounge was large although it has a sofa bed we did not need it. The kitchen decor was lovely and had a little sofa and tv in the kitchen room which was fab idea. We did not use any local restaurant but there is an Asda express withing a 5 min walk which was handy. We mainly visited the area to go to cannon hall farm which was about 20 mins drive away but if we were in the area again would definitely get in touch with Mike and book again. Highly reccomended. Mike was a great host, friendly, informative, helpful and quick to respond.

Lucy’s is a wonderful host and the place is just as described. The location is beautiful and peaceful. Easy to access. Kids friendly as well, there were toys to keep the young ones busy . Also there was a welcome hamper which had bread, cookies, Prosecco and chocolates there milk as well. All the basic necessities are available. The area around is also pretty with river rubble flowing nearby. The town centre is walkable with amazing restaurants. All in all we were here to spend my husband’s birthday weekend and it was all worth it. We will be back for sure. Thanks Lucy
