Cabin vacation rentals in Thompson

One of our fav Airbnb experiences. The home was clean and well-stocked. The location was private with beautiful surroundings. Got plenty of use out of the hot tub and sauna. Both were clean, and clear instructions were provided by host for ease of use. There is no cell service at the house and we had trouble connecting to the WiFi at first, but we were able to restart the router and get connected. The hosts were helpful and responded quickly to all our messages. The host-provided guide book included great local recommendations. We loved Foundry42 coffee shop in Port Jervis and the NYMakgeolli Brewery just up the road for mom and pop Korean cuisine and rice wine made in-house. Would 100% stay again!

The place it was 10/10, the cabin was well equipped everything was organized and clean. Is the perfect spot to disconnect and reconnect with your friends and loved ones. The jacuzzi was an extra bonus💯👌🏻

My boyfriend and I decided to book Sam’s spot, and although we ended up in the COLDEST of weather. We still had a blast, and were warm and comfy. Would love to come back in the fall season! Thanks Sam for your responsiveness and your great spot!

We had an incredible time in Mary, Pavela and Victor’s cozy home! It was perfect for a girls trip for our friend’s birthday. So many amazing amenities, very clean and well located near restaurants and activities. Everyone was so hospitable and answered any questions we had quickly. Would absolutely stay again and highly recommend!

Moonrise pond was a quiet, secluded place with lots of room for indoor and outdoor games, a little pond with kayaks and trail hiking. The place was close to several quaint little towns with great restaurants. Julie was a great host, she showed us the place, gave us all instructions on how to work the hot tub, sauna and fireplace, and even included a bottle of wine. Julie had great recommendations for restaurants, shopping, local hot spots and places to visit. We enjoyed each and every place we visited. This was the perfect spot for our 3rd annual upstate NY trip. We would definitely recommend this place to others. Thank you Julie and Bill for opening your place to us.

My family had such a great weekend. The cabin is so unique with it being a real log cabin that gives it the true rustic cozy beautiful wood feeling. The outside was truly special. My kids absolutely loved exploring the trails, finding all the little statues, and decorative items around. The snow and frozen creek made it even special. The cabin had so many supplied amenities and well kept. There were plenty of games and the kids loved all the bears hidden around. The wood fires and hot tube added to the realaxtion and we definitely used them a lot! The host did a wonderful jump adding a lot of amenities, providing us recommendations, and allowing us to checkin early. We had no issues and our kids did not want to leave. Thank you for the wonderful experience!!

The sweetest, dreamiest, most charming little cabin! The perfect place to disconnect, unwind, and return to center. My stay here was unfortunately cut short due to an unexpected work emergency and Anastasia was kind, communicative, patient, and understanding throughout the entire process. If you’re looking for a place to disconnect from the craziness of life and reconnect with yourself, you’ve found it!

The cabin was cozy, well equipped & welcoming. Can’t say that I’ve ever slept on a more comfortable bed! The kitchen was well stocked with modern appliances. The property was certainly private, expansive & peaceful…maybe a bit too quiet for a Bklyn girl! A but tricky to reach and phone & internet service disappear as soon as you walk out of the house. The hosts were exceptionally responsive & helpful.

The cabin stay was great! Very cozy, and Jonothan was responsive, helpful, and gave us lots of recommendations, definitely coming back!

Jeff and Sharon’s beautiful cabin was one of the best Airbnb’s I have ever stayed in. From the bottle of wine upon entry, to the perfectly laid out cabin, with stunning views and every amenity. Highly recommended!

We had such a wonderful stay! The kitchen was incredibly well-stocked with pots, pans, and all the cooking equipment we needed—it made preparing meals so easy and enjoyable. The snowy weekend brought stunning scenery, and we loved just sitting by the windows, soaking in the beautiful views. The fireplace was a huge highlight! There was plenty of firewood and clear instructions to get it going, making for such cozy evenings. William was fantastic—super helpful and quick to respond to any questions we had, which made everything smooth and stress-free. This stay was everything we hoped for and more. Highly recommend! 🌟

This was the first time we went to the poconos over night, we loved it. The host was friendly and communicative. When ever I had a question during over stay he answered very kindly! He was very flexible when we wanted to add an extra day. Very peaceful; very little cars pass through; our little dog loved it; when we realized we forgot something he had it there. Totally recommend! This was a great Christmas week!

What a magnificent spot! If nothing else, the creek next to the house was worth the price of admission. But the whole experience was fantastic. We filled the place up, and had a dozen more family members come for Thanksgiving dinner. It was cozy and the extra kitchen in the cabin was a godsend. We loved being there, and everything about our stay was perfect. Thank you!

The cabin was beautiful and rejuvenating, exactly as described and just like the pictures - the snow storm made it even better! It was difficult to find and get to the right cabin after dark though. The host was quick to respond and provided clear, detailed instructions. I would absolutely recommend this place! The alpacas and dogs were adorable, and Maybelline completely stole the show by hogging all the apples. A cozy break from routine!

This is a very beautiful rustic place with an on-site property manager who is wonderful. We had some challenges due to the unusually frigid weather in the area and Zachary and Deb responded immediately. You will enjoy the sound of the brook outside the door.

This was our second stay here. Patrick's cabin is peaceful and cozy. We were greeted with a welcome note a bottle of lovely wine and popcorn. We were there during a cold snap yet were very comfortable. The wood burning stove kept us nice and warm (with plenty of wood in the wood shed). The setting is idyllic we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Patrick is easy to communicate with and very accomdating including for our need to change our reservation. We'd love to return in the warm weather. It's a very special place!

We are so grateful for our stay at Cabinessence. Jeanne was incredibly accommodating and communicative through our whole stay. The home is beautiful, and is filled with warmth, and very cozy, despite being very spacious. My teenage son is already planning another stay there next year! :D
