Vacation rentals with a fireplace in Tenero-Contra

We had a fantastic stay with Nicole and Christian. The house is very spacious and easily fit our group. It is designed in a way to feel very private, and you have a nice big balcony in front with a stunning view of the city, the lake, and the mountains across. The footpath to walk to downtown passes right by the house and there is a bus stop nearby, so it’s easily accessible from Locarno. The house was very clean, and we did not hear any traffic from the road. We really enjoyed the well-equipped kitchen, which had everything we needed to make our meals. Nicole and Christian were very responsive, accommodating, and easy to reach. We’d love to stay here again!

We decided in our 5 week holiday to 10 different towns and cities this was our favorite. W hope this house is available next time.

Grazie Marco for an exceptional stay in Orta San Giulio! This was one of the best experiences (from Airbnb or even hotels) we’ve had. Marco was incredibly responsive and communicative, and very kind. He picked us up from Malpensa airport, and even drove us to Milano after our stay. We were travelling with our toddler and Marco very kindly coordinated with the child car seat rental provider to have the seat ready for us. The apartment is in a quiet area that is super close to the piazza. Upon arrival, Marco provided water, local beers, and local biscuits that were delicious. The apartment was incredibly clean, tidy, and nicely decorated. The kitchen was equipped with everything you might need, and the coffee was great! Details like the lovely bath products and slippers, really made our stay stand out, as well as Marco’s hospitality. We would absolutely recommend Marco’s place for your stay in Orta. We would love to come back and stay in Marco’s other property! Grazie mille!

Great stay in comfortable accommodation so convenient.

The apartment is spacious, perfectly clean and you have everything you need and from the terrace you have a fantastic view of the lake and the three islands. The hosts are very nice, courteous and helpful. We would definitely come back.

We had a wonderful stay. Michele and his family were so friendly and helpful. We took our dog, and Michele sister as a vet was able to provide the services needed for our return trip. Michele also offered a taxi service to help us get our car from the garage and my mum to the train station. We can’t thank him enough for making our stay go well. We were able to walk down to the lake edge, the local restaurant the Blue Shell was amazing and we loved going to the little local shop also in walking distance for supplies.

It was amazing 🤩 We had a great time staying at Mary and Marcos's home. Everything is lovingly decorated and so it was not bad that it almost only rained during our stay. We turned on the fireplace and it was so cozy. In good weather, the view is simply picturesque. Thank you for this great time!

A house and garden perfect for those looking for peace in a beautiful environment. Very well equipped, this family home is however quite rustic and is particularly suitable for the beautiful season. Spacious garden, completely private with stunning views of the mountains and the hamlet of Frasco. Swimming spots away from super busy places within walking distance + departure of nice easy hikes (Sonogno 30min along the river and into the forest).

Milena was a great host – very friendly and helpful. The place was extremely clean, the kitchen perfectly equipped, the surroundings beautiful with great hiking opportunities. Ascona and Locarno are within easy reach. The flexibility when checking out was particularly pleasant. Absolutely recommendable, we will gladly come back!

An extremely friendly, helpful, chilled and emphatic hostess made our stay in the very well-equipped apartment pleasant. We loved the sensational view and the many pets ( two cuddly dachshunds and four ?cute cats ). The journey to the last 600 meters and the steps to the apartment took some getting used to. The pool is tasteful and well laid out. Due to the rather bad weather for this season, however, it was little used by us. Restaurants etc are not easily accessible on foot! There is a footpath to Gravedona, but with a full stomach, I don't think so great. But you can cook and dine there wonderfully when you have taken care of yourself in the Iperal in Dongo (best on the way there). We can definitely recommend the accommodation! Thanks Silvia!!

Stefano was a very friendly, helpful and accommodating host. The apartment is large and beautiful, super centrally located. The parking was a bit cumbersome but still practical. We were able to get into the apartment earlier and also stay longer when checking out, which was great. He has provided all the children's utensils. We'd love to come back

Large, very functional and perfectly clean accommodation. Many hikes in the immediate vicinity, lakes can be reached in 10 min by car. Decoration that gives a soul to the home. We had a great stay at Marco's.

Very friendly and helpful host. Check-in/check-out was really fast and easy. Apartment was very spacious and clean, had everything we needed. Everything was close by so location is perfect, quiet and in a dead end street. 10 out of 10 points.

We enjoyed our stay at this modern and well equipped house. It offers beautiful lake views and even in Winter we could sit outside and enjoy the stunning sunsets. The place had everything we needed and communication with the host and co-host was very easy. Definitely recommended!

We had a lovely stay at Andrea’s property! His home was perfectly set up with all of the amenities you could need & was located in a lovely little Italian town providing a ‘local’ experience. You’ll definitely need a car to get to the beautiful surrounding places! Andrea and his team were so kind and great to communicate with. Beautiful surroundings, post bus right at your doorstep. (This is how you can leave the car.) Large house, fully equipped with everything you need! Scorpions can be expected:-) very nice, large outdoor area. Mike was super friendly, will get back to you right away. Absolutely uncomplicated handover. We have enjoyed our holidays!

House and location were very nice. 2 Families with 4 boys had really good stay there. We really loved the lake view and peace of that place.

We absolutely loved our stay in this gorgeous apartment, we really enjoyed the private terrace and outdoor seating areas. The location is ideal for walking into the centre of the village or for taking ferries around the lake, and with a car was ideal for driving up into the hills. We particularly appreciated the more traditional decor which added to the character of the house and made our stay feel authentic. Thank you so much Roxana and family, we hope to visit again.

We had a pleasant stay at Casa Lavender. The house is as beautiful as its view. Everything is as described and photos. The panorama of Lake Maggiore and the Borromean Islands is breathtaking. No need to turn the TV on-you could spend hours watching this show. The house is perfectly equipped, up to the kitchen knives, sharp at will! Everything works smoothly, and despite our stay in February, we've never been cold. The Stresa area is full of treasures to discover, and thanks to the valuable advice of our host Simon, our host, we were able to enjoy it to the fullest. His warm welcome and recommendations were very helpful. A huge thank you for a great experience!

What a fabulous property! We have just returned from a 6 night stay and loved our time there. The property is situated in a quiet location at the top of town. We enjoyed the walk up the steep hill each day - a great way to burn off dessert each evening. The house is beautifully presented with comfy beds and a powerful shower, not to mention a great view of the lake. The hosts were super helpful and responsive. We only wish we could've stayed longer!
