Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Tenero-Contra

Fantastic! We really enjoyed the silence (only the waterfall is hardened) and the hermitage. Our children (7 and 9) also enjoyed it totally and we were all very comfortable. The house is bigger than expected, great furnishings, in the kitchen it really has everything that is important. The rooms are comfortably furnished, we could even enjoy time in the garden. You can hike directly from the house towards Cimalmotto or a circular hike via Niva and 2 rivers, through varied forests, by car Bosco Gurin is easily accessible (or on foot), Maroni, easy to collect. Thank you Marisa for this wonderful place you will provide!

We spent the weekend for our anniversary and it was amazing! Sitting in the hot tub looking over Lago di Como was unforgettable. The house is lovely and has everything you would need for any length of stay. This BnB is good for families and pets as well. The host is accurate when he highlights the steep stairs in the house. He is also accurate about the parking. We were able to unload the car temporarily parked at the hairpin turn below the house(50 meters) then parked the car in a free and public parking area above the property. It was about a 5-10 minute walk back to the property from the car. There is a lovely Bar Azzurra near the parking area as well. Very local. We plan on coming back to this BnB this summer to enjoy the lake and hiking. If you are coming to Lago di Como, I strongly recommend this BnB stay.

Markus was a very pleasant and friendly host. He was very quick to respond to inquiries and also very proactively gave tips and information... also on excursions and the surrounding area. He was very flexible. Be this when moving into the accommodation or also when extending it by one day. Thank you! The house is in very good condition and you can tell that Markus it is important that the guests feel comfortable. This is also noticeable in the interior design. Very nice how everything is well maintained. And of course, the location also contributes... with the view of Lake Lugano. We were allowed to spend great days with a wonderful host in his magnificent house. We felt comfortable and would recommend the place at any time. Thanks for everything.

We had a peaceful and relaxing time at Zoé's place. The house is really cozy and well-equipped, and Zoé is a great host, always attentive to our needs. If we have the chance, we'd love to come back :)

The house we rented in Italy was clean and in an excellent location for excursions. It provided easy access to various attractions, making it ideal for day trips. We all felt very comfortable and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The combination of cleanliness and convenience contributed to a pleasant experience for everyone.

We felt very comfortable in the house Everything as on the pictures , pool was also great , barbecue was available , enough space to park. Andrea was very friendly, the communication was excellent and otherwise we were also satisfied.

We have spent about a week in Casa Edera. We were a group with different ages. But everyone was comfortable in this house. The garden is very well kept and having meals in there or in the Rustico can be a very pleasent experience. This place is well equipped for any circumstance. Also in a rainy day, it is pleasent to be inside or have a nice walk in the rain in that quiet area. Priska's suggestions for trips are very helpful. You can easily spend a week by doing different things every day. The area is very quiet. The road beside the house is narrow, but it is not so difficult to get out of the parking lot. Casa Edera can be a very nice place for a family vacation and have very nice memories from it.

My friend and I spent 5 nights at Claudio’s beautiful place up in the mountains. The place was amazing and cosy and the view over lake como was stunning. It was easy to walk around and Claudio was super helpful and really cares about his guests. We can really recommend this place and would love to come back.

Roberto was an excellent, responsive host. The views were amazing especially from the table on the patio. We arrived after dark which was a bit nerve wracking (wouldn’t advise) but our instructions to enter the apartment were excellent which helped. The bus drivers were amazing driving up and down the road and we found the serenity of Carona charming and relaxing with easy access to Lake Lugano when needed/wanted. Carona was peaceful with lots of good walking/hiking once you figure out the area/system. We loved it. The wi-fi was spotty/slow which Roberto indicated would change soon. Thanks for a lovely stay!

The studio apartment with Christine is simply mega beautiful and we enjoyed our days despite the rain. Kitchen is super equipped. Christine is very helpful and likeable. Thank you so much, we will be happy to come back 😍

We had a wonderful week-long stay and cooked many meals. Kitchen was well equipped. Our our rental car was necessary as nearest grocery store is about a 30 minute walk. Parking was easy to find thanks to Massimo’s welcome documents. He also offered guides with restaurant and excursion recommendations as well as detailed instructions. We were very satisfied with the upstairs bedrooms and bathroom, but the basement room was admittedly musty due to humidity. Common space featured a spacious couch and smart TV that we enjoyed watching. Balcony and view were stunning, and if it wasn’t for the rainy weather we had we would’ve used it a lot more. Bregano is small and quiet but it is a day trip away from plenty of interesting places like Milan, Lake Como, and Lugano, making it a great place to stay if you’re okay to do a bit of driving. Massimo checked in a few times during our stay and provided us with fresh towels halfway through the week as requested. We would definitely stay here again.

The Alphüttli offered exactly what we were looking for. Peace, nature and just time to be! The neighbor Gregor is also very helpful and has three great dogs. Alex gave us great instructions and was always easily accessible for questions. We will be happy to come back!

We (young couple with dog) spent 4 days at "La Perla" and would have preferred to stay right there. The house and amenities look exactly the same as in the photos. The location in the forest is beautiful. The 3 cottages are secluded and yet you can reach the village on foot or by car in a few minutes. There was everything you need (sheets, towels, coffee maker and capsules, toaster, spices, firewood...). It didn't have a TV, but we didn't miss it thanks to the great view and the sizzling fire in the Swedish stove. The whole decor is very modern, incl. Kitchen appliances such as oven, dishwasher, etc. Alois is a super friendly, committed and accommodating host. We will be happy to come back! Thank you for everything!

Perfect Stay in a hidden treasure in the mountains We had an amazing stay at Andy’s place! The cabin was spotlessly clean, beautifully decorated, and had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The location was perfect with beautiful sunrise and sunset views. On New Years we had a fantastic view of the fireworks. Andy was incredibly responsive and provided excellent suggestions for hikes and the area. The unique touches, like the hot tub and the balcony made us feel right at home and like we don’t want to leave the place. We highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again!

Mountain house surrounded by nature with breathtaking views that, alone, is worth the asking price for the stay. The house is spacious (we were in 5 adults) and has everything you need for a peaceful and pleasant stay. The two wood-burning fireplaces available are more than enough to heat the spaces in a short time and give a timeless atmosphere. Mario is an extraordinary host: responsive, very kind and available. The directions and instructions you gave us on the different roads to get to the house were clear, real and useful. In short: I recommend everyone to stay in Mario's house, you will not be disappointed!!

We found the Rustico right away thanks to Lorenzo's video in advance of what the access/away looks like. Check-in was hassle-free and everything as described. The Rustico is just beautiful. Everything necessary is available, is homely and lovingly furnished. In terms of weather, our week could have looked drier, the nicer it was to come back after an extensive walk and make yourself comfortable in front of the fireplace. Around the house, there is 🤤 another reason to fire up the fireplace. The cozy balcony under the gable is perfect for the good morning coffee, squirrels could watch them. Lorenzo is an exemplary host, we felt at home in his Rustico. Thank you very much and gladly again.

We were very well hosted by Maruska. The hamlet of Piantürin is full of charm, secluded and very quiet, with several hiking departures possible. Great experience despite bad weather, very good value… We'll be back! Thank you Maruska.
