Vacation rentals with a fire pit in Summersville Lake

This little home was very cozy and cute. It was extremely clean with no strong fragrances from plug ins or laundry detergents. We are sensitive to strong, chemical smells and we were very comfortable here. It was a five minute drive to our destination, we lived the beautiful trees in the backyard and the surrounding houses were quiet. It was a peaceful stay! Thank you!

The house was very clean and nice! The bathroom was spotless along with the rest of the house. Would definitely recommend this house for anyone looking for a getaway!

This is the second time we have stayed here. If we are coming this way again, we will definitely stay here.

Absolutely fantastic stay. Such a hidden gem. The hosts were super accommodating and were very friendly to communicate with. The outdoor fire pit was very relaxing and our daughter loved the chickens! The place was extremely clean and had everything we needed to cook and bbq!

This home was perfect for our family’s overnight stay. We felt right at home as soon as we pulled in the driveway. The home is well laid out, well stocked with all sorts of extras that are always so handy to have staying in an Airbnb. Home was very clean, comfortable, the beds were nice!! Fenced yard was awesome for our dogs they absolutely loved it!! So did we knowing they were safe! Summersville is a cute place and I wish we had another night to spend there. Would definitely recommend and also would come back to Jessica’s!!

First impressions: clean and well kept. Thanksgiving with family worked out well thanks to the tidy house with plenty of kitchen stuff to make our meals. Central heat kept us warm and the working fireplace was great to hang out around. We didn't go out and about due to snow. There is only one bathroom but we made it work for us.

This place was perfect for our wedding weekend at The Gaines Estate and everything is super walkable. The fire pit was perfect for hanging out with our friends and family in the evenings. Everything was super clean and the house was cozy. I would definitely stay here again!

This is a nice place. Everything was very clean and nicely stocked. The town is a 10 minute walk and has some restaurants worth visiting. The house is about a half mile from the Park Loop Trail into the national park, and a short drive to lots of other trailheads at the park as well as one of the visitor centers. We were staying to hike the park and find some good meals, and this was the perfect place for that.

We enjoyed our stay with Ed and Denise. Beautiful location and nice extras included.

We visited the New River Royal Gorge National Park and other surrounding sites but wanted to stay out of the busier Charleston and Berkeley areas. Jim’s place was the perfect spot to be. We were in an apartment right beside the Kanawha River. The unit was modest but had everything we needed and was very quiet. Great spot.

Very cozy and Diana is a great host! Close to the national park and a lot of small businesses. We would definitely stay here again!

We really enjoyed our stay at Amy’s place! The apartment was very cute and homey with all amenities you could need. The location was great for exploring some of the parts of New River Gorge National Park off the beaten path, and it was beautiful and peaceful being right on the river. The trains passing by were a bit loud during the night and the water did have a sulphur smell, however, those things are listed in the description of the apartment, so it did not impact my rating since we came in knowing what to expect. Amy was also a very responsive and friendly host!

We had a wonderful time at Angela & Jeff’s place and in the surrounding area. We hiked, biked, and zip lined and had a blast. Enjoyed several local restaurants too. Beautiful location at a comfortable, well-appointed place, we enjoyed our stay immensely, including the fire pit at night under the stars. They have thought of everything here to ensure your comfort and enjoyment and it shows!

We were so happy with our stay here. The place is big and cozy, a very short drive to some beautiful spots to climb, and Lucas was an exceptional host. He's a really kind and friendly person, always responds to messages within minutes, and was eager to help in any way that he can. When we noticed the kitchen was missing a couple of items we needed for meal prep, he had them bought and dropped off that very same night. Couldn't ask for more! Thank you for everything!

Really appreciated Lucas’s quick response and flexibility to let us stay longer than listed to be able to have my procedures at local hospital. When we had WiFi issues he messaged and called to try to help us resolve them. The place was perfect for my husband and I to stay! Comfortable, cozy, great kitchen to reheat dinner and such! We had a great night there!

The location was super convenient as I was traveling to attend Bridge Day. The cabin looks just like the photos and it was easy to find. The hosts were super friendly and very helpful when I accidentally locked myself out of my cabin. And when I mentioned that the space heater that was provided was not working properly they replaced it for me. If you are looking for a no-frills, basic shelter and accommodations then this is it!

We had a very nice few days at Half-Pint. In spite of some bad weather it was still possible to get out and visit New River Gorge and the surrounding area from Tara's cabin. Beautiful location, cozy interior, and Tara's responsive hosting made for a very good trip.

We stayed at Emerson & Wayne for our elopement/honeymoon and loved it! The cabin is well-decorated with lots of amenities, including a hot tub, heated bathroom floors & a towel warmer in the bathroom. It rained for most of our stay (except for our wedding day!) so we spent more time at the cabin than we planned to but no complaints! We were able to enjoy the screened porch, hot tub & fire pit between rain showers. The only downsides are the steep staircase to the loft bedroom & lack of storage space/closets but that was to be expected in a small place like this. Overall, very charming & highly recommend staying here!

We came down to whitewater raft and zipline with Adventures on the Gorge. The cabin was so close to Adventures on the Gorge. It is nice and secluded, and has everything you need for your getaway! The hottub was great after a long day of adventuring. The host gave great local recommendations and even stopped by our first night to see if we needed anything. Our two boys (10 and 12) enjoyed the woods around the cabin. The personal touches were amazing- fresh flowers on the table, fresh baked cookies, and souvenir glasses to take home! I have stayed many places, but this one is a favorite for sure!

We couldn't have had a better experience. The home is very comfortable, well laid out, many new fixtures and most of all the fenced yard for our beagle couldn't have been more perfect. The hosts were very responsive and communication from the start was top notch. We will not hesitate to stay here again. It was perfect for our family and the area is beautiful. We highly recommend this home to anyone, especially those with pets.

I stayed with my 11 year old son and we had a great few days! The cabin is small, but it was comfortable and had everything we needed. Having the deck and hot tub was great! We arrived late but Brenda was helpful in explaining how we would check in and get access, and everything was pretty easy. The GPS was confusing at times, but google maps eventually got us there to the resort welcome center. We knew this going in so had printed some directions, it was just tricky in the dark. Was great to be able to drive to many of the hiking trails and other excursions within 10-15 min. Overall, was a great stay and would stay here again!

Place was very nice. Great location for the lake or close to town as well.
