Monthly Rentals in Suginami City

Wonderful wee place in one of the best local suburbs, yet very close to all major tourist attractions. We’ve really enjoyed our 5 nights here. Can’t fault it and highly recommend. Thank you Selina for being to perfect host and making our experience in Tokyo an unforgettable one!

Our stay with Hiroko was wonderful! It is a clean space in a beautiful neighborhood. The train station is only a 10 minute walk from Hiroko’s place and the DT line connects you to virtually anywhere. Bonus: it’s 7 minute train ride to Shibuya. Hiroko was very responsive and kind. She went out of her way to meet us on the first night and then showed us her place and asked if we had any questions about where things were!

The apartment is small , as are most apartments in Tokyo. Ok for two, better for one. The area is definitely not touristy and you truly live like a local . The lift is a welcome relief, vs countless stairs. A warning that the local rail station , kamikatziwa , does NOT have a lift so you will have to negotiate stairs to roadside with suitcases. The apartment had a great feature which l had not experienced in any other Airbnb-,labels in English and Japanese with brief instructions on how to operate appliances etc. When you arrive from a long flight or busy day, the last thing you want to do it read through instruction booklets on how to operate washing machines, strange toilets and hot plate stove tops. The little labels made it a breeze and showed an extra level of detail in looking after visitors.Other Airbnb owners take note!!! Sometimes it’s not all about glam furnishings etc , it’s little details like this that makes a property stand out.
