Strathbogie is a hidden gem, and this Airbnb made it the perfect base to explore the surrounding area. We had a fantastic stay at Lars and Fiona’s place! The property was spotless and well-maintained, and we felt completely at ease bringing our dog along – it was such a pet-friendly and welcoming space. The pool was a definite highlight, especially for the kids, who absolutely loved spending time in it. It was perfect for cooling off in the summer heat, and we used it almost every day. The property was great for relaxing, but it also served as an excellent base for exploring the area. We visited Lake Eildon and the Cathedral Ranges, both of which were incredible. Walking to the top of the back paddock, as recommended, was another highlight – the views were absolutely breathtaking. Lars and Fiona were friendly and welcoming, but they gave us plenty of privacy. We only saw them briefly to say hello and goodbye, which made for a comfortable and relaxing experience. Our kids had a wonderful time too, making it an all-around great stay for the whole family. Highly recommend!!

The bunkhouse was exactly what we were after for a few nights out of the city. Simple, clean, pet friendly. Robert and Kylie were very communicative, and generously provided bread, milk and a plethora of delicious eggs straight from their own chooks. Took some brief walks during the days, used our hosts' pool in the warm afternoons, and watched the stars at night. TV provided with streaming services and good Internet (I had to do a bit of work). ~30 minutes to grocery in Benala, so plan for that or stock up on your way in.
