The Evening Breeze is a cozy and very quiet home nestled in the woods. Exactly as described in the listing. Would rent again if life brings us back to the area.

We had a great time as a family of 6 (5 adults and 1 child), enjoying a Thanksgiving getaway on the lake. The house itself has tons of space, very comfortable, fast Wi-Fi, and matched the descriptions, but the real highlight was the amazing views of the lake and being able to walk down to the water and the dock. We also did some stargazing at night, and actually managed to spot the Milky Way on a particularly clear night, along with way more stars than you'd typically see just 70 miles from a major metro area like the triangle. Overall would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet lakefront getaway.

Great location and views! We spend most of our time on the water so having the boathouse so close and hardly any steps was a huge plus! I like a lot of places in Lake Gaston. Very easy to go back and forth to the house (we are always forgetting things.) Huge bonus having a refrigerator on the dock. The house was beautiful, comfortable beds and linens, very large kitchen with plenty of room to cook. We enjoyed mornings and evenings on the large deck. Great long weekend all around.

Highly recommend! The host is absolutely amazing, super helpful, and genuinely cares. My daughter left her favorite shoes behind and he was extremely helpful, recovering them for us and even offering to split the shipping costs with us. The house was pristine and well stocked with all the necessities and more. Seriously the best Air BnB experience we have ever had. We will absolutely be back next time we are in town for a swim meet!!

This place is perfect for a weekend getaway with the girls! It is 20 minutes away from touring the wineries and within minutes of Williamsburg shopping and spa recommendations. It is very cozy. You can fish the chickahominy or sit by the camp fire. The deck views are amazing and the wildlife is all around. Definitely returning!

Spacious and beautifully-updated and furnished home with peaceful views of the lake. Comfy beds, soft sheets, well-appointed kitchen, and lots of towels. Glenn was extremely responsive and flexible with our group’s check-in and check-out. We especially enjoyed the fire pit on a chilly evening under a bright supermoon over the lake! Appreciated the many amenities, including toiletries, cleaning supplies, and even fire starters.

We had a wonderful weekend stay! Kristen was extremely helpful and communicative from the moment we booked to when we checked out. The house was absolutely perfect for our needs and so very beautiful right there on the lake. It was pristine inside and we only wished we could have enjoyed it for longer. Would highly recommend and would happily stay again :)

We had an amazing time at the cabin! The lakeside view was absolutely stunning—waking up to the serene water and watching the sunset was a highlight of our trip. The cabin was cozy, well-equipped, and had everything we needed for a relaxing getaway. Whether we were soaking in the hot tub, unwinding by the firepit, or simply enjoying the peaceful surroundings, it was the perfect escape. The host Eric was fantastic—super friendly, quick to respond, and made everything so easy. Highly recommend for anyone looking for a fun and rejuvenating retreat.
