What makes this accommodation a 5 Star Stay is the host, Lapson—he is wonderfully gracious! He greets you personally upon arrival, is happy to arrange transport from the airport for you, and is very proactive in checking in with you throughout the stay. He even added some really thoughtful surprise touches, like complimentary bottled water and some toiletries, which was very sweet. Wifi works great too! The location is ideal, right by the main road to go see the falls and with supermarkets and stores just a few minutes walking. The only not so great thing potential bookers should be aware of is the frequent power outages as they are unpredictable and last several hours at a time (no cooking/hot water/AC/refrigeration). Lapson has installed some solar power for lighting, keeping the fan working, and charging devices (which is GREAT), though it also did run out of charge for me personally. With working power though, the overall experience deserves 5 Stars for hospitality and value :)

I had a great two week stay at Ingrid’s place. The guest house is comfortable and in a great location, walkable distance to shops and nearby cafes. Ingrid was very helpful and quick to communicate. There is a generator and now solar panels- very useful for load shedding. I always felt safe and welcome at Ingrid’s place. I would commend it!

Mwapes place felt like home, it matched the description perfectly and looked just like in the pictures. The solar backup ensured there were no dark nights, even with Zambia's loadshedding. She was very friendly and responsive, and the house is in a peaceful, quiet area One thing to note: there are no flip-flops in the bathroom, so if you need them, make sure to bring your own. Otherwise, it was a wonderful stay, and I'd highly recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay in Zambia.
