We are a short walk to local pubs and shops and ideally positioned for walkers and cyclists with safe bike storage available. Beautiful Shepherds Hut - Private Garden and Views

Set on a working farm, Shepherd's Rest is the perfect place to come and enjoy the glorious views and piece and quiet of Exmoor. With plenty of local attractions to visit. The Hut has an open plan living and sleeping area, a basic kitchen which includes a two ring gas hob a kettle , toaster and fridge , and a shower room with toilet. Outside there is a garden with a seating area and a fire pit . There is a parking area close by the Hut . I will accept one dog at the cost £20 for the stay.

Had a lovely stay here. Was easy to find and the host gave clear instructions. We found the inside very clean and had everything we needed. The views across the lake were beautiful and the ducks were very friendly! The location was close (walkable)to the town of Wareham back along the entrance lanes. Overall a very nice short stay there.

Absolutely loved our visit to The Shepherd’s Nest. We only live down the road and had spotted the hut on a walk and thought we’d try it out. Leaving the children with a sitter and enjoying ourselves in a beautiful surroundings was just what we needed as busy parents to young children. The accommodation was gorgeous (particularly loved the bath), the setting was stunning (including the cows) and the hosts were so friendly and welcoming (thank you Carol!). Couldn’t recommend more. X

The hut was perfect! So cozy and clean! We really enjoyed the little fireplace and the marshmallows and coffee/milk! There were little lambs in the field too! Sarah was very helpful and responsive and the instructions/directions were very easy to follow! We’d definitely stay again!

The other 5 star reviews are completely spot on - if you're looking for a disconnected, peaceful, beautiful stay in the English countryside, this is absolutely it! We spent Valentine's weekend here and it was such a lovely spot to have as our base for some Dorset adventures. Having the option of the firepit and the inside stove was truly wonderful, and we would never come back if visiting the area again!

We had a wonderful stay in the Willow shepherds hut, everything was there as needed and with the extra touch of detail added, milk in the fridge, cereals in the cupboard. The shower facilities really stood out, private, clean and top quality, shower was even better than mine at home. Dog was really happy and able to be off lead. We loved the little deck area with the fire pit, everything was perfect for a memorable stay. Thank you, we will definitely book again!

Jo and Jan were fantastic hosts. So responsive, helpful and the recommendations were great-The Packhorse in the village was lovely. The food was excellent, staff service & a genuine community feel about the place.The Shepherds Hut was perfect for our weekend get away in Bath. I loved how we were tucked away in a beautiful & peaceful location but on your doorstep was a gorgeous village-Southstoke and if you needed to grab some bits of food-Tesco Express was less than a 10min walk. The walks in the local area looked fantastic. We did the Packhorse No 1. Just on that short walk we picked up so much information about the village. We walked into Bath it took us less than an hour and it was easy (all downhill). We got a taxi back to the hut and that cost approx £10-11. We also highly recommend the Circus Restaurant in Bath. Absolutely amazing food & service. We loved the Hut as it was so cosy, had everything you needed & it was spotless. We will definitely recommend & will be back!
