excellent place, right on the harbour, good views of the lake, and walking distance to Westport House and its beautiful gardens

Donal was so accommodating about getting us booked in last minute, and gave us a lovely welcome so the place felt like home from the start. It’s a beautifully finished home with lots of attention to detail and eco touches. It was so warm when we stayed in winter, and the bed was the comfiest we’ve had at an Airbnb! Slept so well, it really is a little piece of paradise. Also loved meeting Billy- such a cute dog! We’d come back again any time.

Whitethorn cottage was exactly as described. It was located close to Westport, comfortable, private & spotlessly clean. Teresa was a wonderful host who looked after us extremely well. Great communication & helpful to us. I would highly recommend Whitethorn cottage for anybody climbing Croagh Patrick & looking to spend some time in Westport. Thank you Teresa & David.
