Monthly Rentals in Slievemore

We staying here in mid August with 2 teenagers and our dog and had a brilliant time. Hannah's place is spacious but feels really homely. It's the best equipped kitchen I've stayed in. You would guess that the hosts are real foodies and good cooks. They even had a slow cooker! Sofa's were really comfy and there's loads of DVDs and books to curl up with. The wifi was good and the wet rooms are ideal if coming straight from the beach. The views from the house are gorgeous, I actually don't think the photos on the listing do it justice and there's a wooden picnic table were we sat out and made the most of the views with a drink when it wasn't raining. Location was perfect for us. Slightly shy of a mile dander to the beach and a short drive to Pure Magic with it's lovely pizzas and Keel were I recommend Ar Bia Mara sea food truck for fabulous scampi. Hannah's place, Bun an Luachra, is a great spot in a beautiful setting and I absolutely recommend it. I'd love to return in the future.

Brilliant stay at Elaine’s house. She was extremely responsive and helpful and a great host. The house itself is absolutely stunning close to pubs and restaurants with a beautiful view of the water. The pictures don’t actually do the house justice. Perfect for a family trip away would highly recommend and would love to visit again in the future thanks Elaine!

So incredibly beautiful and peaceful, I almost don't want anyone else to know about it! Really, this is an historic building that has been so tastefully renovated to provide every modern comfort while retaining absolute character and charm. The log burner quickly makes the sitting room area toasty and warm, and the heat spreads throughout, even ensuring the bedroom is hot. The furniture is perfect, the kitchen so well equipped and the shower is brilliant (hot and loads of pressure). There are windows with views out to the sea from every part of the cottage, the patio is a good size, and the sound of the waves and the wind was a gorgeous lullaby. Bonus points for the bird feeder out front which attracted lots of colourful tiny birds and we were lucky enough to spot a seal bobbing in the water on our first morning. Ciaran & Mary Ellen were friendly and communicative. This is the perfect little bolthole to unwind in a beautiful part of Achill. We will definitely be back.
