Family-friendly vacation rentals in Sintra

We really enjoyed our stay at Rui's place. What really stood out is how kid friendly the place is - we stayed here with a 3 year old and a 10 month old who was crawling everywhere. We really appreciated the highchair and toys. The beach is right there and then it's not too difficult to get to Lisbon city centre, I recommend going once by ferry!

We had a great stay at Susanna's place. She welcomed her herself and explained everything about the apartment. The apartment was extremely clean and the highlight was huge terrace and useful kitchen. The location is top notch with bus and metro just a few minutes walk away. I'd definitely recommend her place!

Pedro was amazing and very accommodating. After long drive from Barcelona we arrived late and he made small snacks for us which we really appreciated. Thank You Pedro! We will defiantly stay again. Regards Lev

We found Filipe to be an amazing host with a beautiful apartment. It was located within walking distance of everything, it was clean and had everything we could possibly need! Filipe offered to pick us up from the airport (extra cost) as we didn’t land until midnight which was really helpful. Communication was excellent and we would stay here again any time. We’ve also recommended the apartment to many of our friends. Great stay!

We had a great stay here, it was perfect for our family vacation. The house is beautiful and very well taken care of, with spacious bedrooms, a large family room and well-equipped kitchen. The garden and pool were also lovely - private and quiet and a great place to hang out. The beach and train station were both a short walk, and Estoril is well-situated for trips to Lisbon and Cascais or to explore towns along the coast. Catarina was a fantastic host and Dona Gilda helped with anything we needed during the stay.

The condo was in a great location. Close to a few restaurants, grocery store and public transportation.

Impeccable exterior for this kind of rental, sun, swimming pool, terrace, fireplace-barbecue, house "like at home" with everything you need to live there, well equipped with household electronics, quiet despite the "Portuguese" dogs who often bark at night but almost not in our case, quiet in the neighborhood, the market 100m from the house and supermarkets that are not very far either, my favorite beach (Princesa) 5 minutes by car.

Paula and Anselmo were very sympathetic and hospitable hosts, and we highly recommend their home! Communication was fast and smooth. We received a warm welcome and they told us about the surroundings with shops and restaurants. The area is quiet and we slept well, which was very important as we travelled for a triathlon race in Cascais. Thank you for a thoroughly nice stay Paula and Anselmo!

Mauricio’s house is exceptional – beautiful, comfortable, and equipped with everything you need for a wonderful stay with friends. A great apartment with everything you need, a lovely terrace and a quick walk to the beaches and supermarket is just around the corner. We enjoyed that it was close to the old town but also good access to other beaches! A lovely stay and Ana Paula’s apartment was squeaky clean!!

Maria and Cesar are excellent hosts. The accommodation is in a lovely and private setting with everything you could need provided. They were both extremely helpful, especially when we had a minor problem with our hire car, but not at all intrusive. We loved our stay.

The place was very quiet, with a nice garden area. We didn’t even feel that the owner’s family was living upstairs, since we didn’t hear any noise at all. We had all the amenities needed, and slept very well in comfy beds. The fact that we were allowed to use the parking inside the house was very handy. The communication with Angelina was very easy and she responded promptly to our questions. I highly recommend this place if you are looking for a nice quiet neighborhood, with easy access to Lisbon and Cascais/Sintra areas.

Exceptional views of the ocean and sunset every night. Very good times with the family in the unmissable place of the house: the pool, a real pleasure when you wake up, at noon for an aperitif, and in the evening when you return from the beach!! Pedro's flat was clean, large and exactly like pictures and description. Fast internet...at least 200Mbs d/u speed and direct access to router if one needs to plug directly via ethernet. The location in Alfama is very central and is on main road with the 28 trolley running directly in front of the building. The noise from street and trolley is minimal. For those who don't know Lisbon, the city in extremely hilly and Alfama even more, so be aware that you will be walking uphill or up stairs very often if you choose this neighborhood. There is another vacation rental upstairs from the flat and depending on how those guests may walk, there could be noise as it is an older building with wood floors. We were aware of small shower...which is accurate...but the volume/pressure of water and very hot temperatures made the shower better than most. Overall, Pedro's flat is great choice and met all expectations.

This is the first AirBnB host that hugged me on arrival 😂 Lisa is incredibly helpful and friendly, the apartment was spacious, within walking distance to most things, and she even left a bottle of wine for us. This place was definitely a highlight of our trip

Our stay was absolutely magical. The apartment is even more beautiful than shown in the photos. It is super comfortable, very well-equipped, bright and peaceful. It felt like a home, with a very short walk to the beach to watch the most spectacular sunsets from. The apartment is perfect for both short-term and long-term stays, and we will definitely be returning in the future. Thank you to our most delightful host!

Andreas's stay was very good, the communication with him was excellent and I was available for any request. It is close to the airport and a tip for the next visitors, they can take the truck on Route 722 or 783 pass in front of Terminal 1, get off at Encarnacao are 3 stops and from there is one and a half blocks. Or they can walk from terminal 1 it takes about 17 minutes. To return to the airport or go to other areas you can take the same truck routes. The metro station Encarnacao is somewhat far away but still an option. I recommend that you buy the Lisbon card I help me for unlimited transportation and tickets to the main points of interest. The house is far from downtown lisboa, average you do in the Plaza del Comercio from 48 minutes to 1:10 hrs. The only small detail is that my wife says that apartment smells damp, which I feel slightly, on the second day the smell was gone. If I go back to Lisbon I would repeat with Andreas' stay

It was lovely to meet the family who owns this unit and they were very responsive and professional. The apartment is small but it has a beautifully decorated kitchen and bathroom. The owners own a tile store and decorated them beautifully. The apt is located off the main roads so it is very quiet yet very close to th praça Rebublica, in the center of the vila. Please be aware that it is not a stay for someone with mobility problems as this area of Sintra is very hilly and has steps everywhere. Also, this is a pedestrian area so walk Into town or take a taxi from the train station to the hub of the town and walk three blocks to the apartment. We walked to the restaurants and to the ‘Quinta da Regaleira’ (15 minutes away) and to the ‘Royal Palace’, which was three blocks away over the hilly cobble stones of the historic district. The apt is in a very safe location and the hosts welcomed us at the entrance gate. I highly recommend it.

We stayed at Luis's place for five incredible months, and it couldn’t have been better. It was our first year as parents to our newborn, and Luis made it feel like a true home. Luis went above and beyond every step of the way. Any time we had an issue, he resolved it quickly and kindly. One unforgettable moment was when we accidentally locked ourselves out, and Luis came to our rescue immediately. The Areeiro area is fantastic: a peaceful, residential neighborhood with great restaurants, quirky shops, and a beautiful park nearby. Its central location makes getting anywhere in Lisbon quick and easy. This was, without a doubt, our best Airbnb experience. Luis’s hospitality and care made all the difference. We’ll recommend his place to everyone visiting Lisbon. Thank you, Luis, for making our stay so special!

Tom and Isabel’s place was exactly as described very comfortable, close to everything restaurants, shops, beach etc they were wonderful hosts who met us on arrival and took us on a quick tour of Ericeira giving us restaurant recommendations and a brief history of the town , they were easy to communicate with and very friendly and although the apartment is in the center of town the bedrooms are in the back of the home and open onto a private courtyard so it’s very peaceful and quiet to sleep
