Family-friendly vacation rentals in Shorewood

We booked three nights to accommodate extended family coming from Chicago and Duluth to celebrate my son’s graduation from UMN. This place was perfect for us! There was plenty of room for everybody. The kitchen, open living room area, and deck worked really well for entertaining. We threw a BBQ get together for my son’s friends, a huge success in this great space. The place is very well stocked with everything we needed. We also heated up the sauna each morning to start the day! Emily was very responsive to our every need. Thank you!

Jill's place was great for our family's Christmas. The house is spacious and clean with all the amenities needed. The basement was great for watching the football game and playing pool. The backyard was great for our dogs and the hot tub was better than expected. We would gladly stay again.

Great space for groups! Miranda responded quickly to me. I was very thankful she accommodated scent free for me.

I brought my small church youth group to MN and stayed at her place. Beautiful place, cozy like home, perfect place for bonding. Her details for decor and everything that we might need are just superb, amazed me. The kitchen is pretty equipped with spices, seasonings, all the stuff that we need for a short stay. My husband loveees the coffee table area, different set of coffee machine and options. The place is very spacious, just like the photos, plenty of spaces outside and inside to have a cozy afternoon with long tables. Her game boards and books along with the other amenities keeping my youth entertained and bonding with each other. Sarah will go above and beyond to help us and to ensure we rest comfortably and accomodate what we need. Her home feels like home with aesthetic touch and design from entrance to living room, kitchen, bathroom, bedroom, and basement all covered. Thanks Sarah, I truly appreciate your hospitality and your heart to serve others.

Amy Jo was a wonderful host and we felt right at home! The home was spacious and clean, the bed was comfy, and my little one had a blast playing with the toys and watching the ducks on the pond. We would definitely stay here again in the future.

This was my wife and I's 3rd time coming to stay at Jill's cabin in mid January and the trip completely lived up to our high expectations! There is nothing more relaxing than sitting in the hot tub on the back patio looking over the Willow River when snow is coming down. The cabin was cute & cozy as ever, with tons of candles and fun little lights to use while playing cribbage and relaxing. Hudson has a lot of good restaurant options for a city its size as well. 10/10 and cannot recommend this cabin more. We can't wait for our next trip next year!

We loved Kristian and Joe’s place! It was absolutely amazing and the cutest little tiny home, which when checking in Joe informed us it was a converted office/ tiny home. You would never know, because it’s just so comfy and gives a cabin vibe! There’s lots of gear they provided that my partner and I got to use, specifically the canoe at sunset! Absolutely breathtaking and 10/10 would recommend and stay here again!

There were four couples, and we each had our own bath and bedroom. It was so great to be able to get together in the morning and have coffee and look at the beautiful view. In the evening we sat around in the living room and chatted. It couldn’t have been more perfect for us. And the beds were very comfortable!

Fantastic stay over the Christmas holiday! Our family of 5 adults thoroughly enjoyed the Queen Anne Mansion. It was clean, the hosts were super responsive, and the house was majestic in all of its historic charm. We cooked, we had a birthday party for one of our family members, and we celebrated Christmas in a home we will never forget. Great place, private, quiet and real close to Macalester campus. Quaint and cozy vibe. Responsive and helpful host.

Cute little cottage feel! Fenced in yard was prefect for our dog.

There was a lack of communication from the start, but once everyone was on the same page, we were fine! The beds were very comfortable and the place was spacious for the 4 of us.

Josh was very accommodating and his fenced in yard worked well for our dog.

The house was amazing! Everything looked like the photos. The downstairs area was a wonderful extra space. James responded proactively to any questions that came up during the stay. It was a short drive to the UMN campus and local restaurants. The neighborhood was quiet and it was nice having the option to park in the garage.

My family and I had the BEST time staying at Katie's place next to Lake Harriet! Katie and Curt were phenomenal and thoughtful hosts, who created a very special place to call your temporary home. Very walkable and active neighborhood with spectacular restaurants walking distance. If you're looking for a tranquil stay in Minneapolis in an amazing and convenient neighborhood, this is the place! We are missing the hot tub too!

Diane did a fantastic job of keeping us informed and communicating during our stay. Accommodations were comfortable and clean. Location was nice to be out in the country, but close to available amenities. We had a wonderful time!

The place was beautiful. Exactly what we hoped for, for a family gathering. Lots of stuff to do whether it’s winter, summer, spring, or fall. Our host was very responsive and gave us lots of ideas and options. This was perfect for a large family gathering over Christmas. We had a blast. Ages 3-74 voted we would definitely come back!
