Basement 1 bedroom in Ridgefield

KellyRating, 5 stars3 weeks ago
The apartment was very clean, comfortable, and accommodating to our needs while we looked for permanent housing in the area. Shannon and her entire family were all very welcoming and friendly. The kitchen could use some more cookware/kitchen “essentials” but Shannon asked for any suggestions upon leaving and I’m confident she will add these. We had most things in storage anyways so it wasn’t a big deal for us. When I needed a muffin tin to make birthday cupcakes she supplied one right away to use! She even shared her birthday cupcakes! One huge thing was the abundance of hot water. We never ran out with two toddlers who love baths and produce a ton of laundry & dishes! Our kids loved the huge yard (in winter is MUDDY), the trampoline, swing set, and other kid toys Shannon’s family were happy to share. The house is at the end of a dead-end road backed up to a cemetery so the area is very quiet with no through traffic. You do hear family noise from above but it didn’t bother us 😂

Gorgeous Floating Home

RRating, 5 stars4 months ago
We stayed for a few months and really enjoyed it. The home is spacious, very clean and well-appointed for a long stay, but the star is the water right out your back door. It is serene and peaceful, but also has lots of birds and wildlife. Being a floating home, it is not a location that is walkable (or safely bikeable) to anything, which is the only drawback. That said, Scappoose is close by, Portland is easily accessible, and Forest Park has beautiful hiking trails. Alison was a great host and was responsive and proactive whenever there was an issue or a question. I would highly recommend.

Posh Victorian Studio (31 day min-no tax)

SamRating, 5 stars5 months ago
Staying at Toney’s place was great experience because of its attention to detail including unique decor like it’s tin ceiling tiles, beautiful kitchen with a built-in fridge/freezer, several snacks + drinks, and even a handwritten arrival note. It also had extra amenities that went beyond your typical rental (standing desk, adjustable bed, a larger TV, etc). Best of all, it was clutter free. There were no random objects stored in closets or cupboards that you had to overlook. The studio is smaller than most, but the high ceilings and tall bay windows bring a ton of light, helping to make the space feel larger. There were some issues with the internet, which as someone working remotely was a bigger deal, but Toney was quick to make changes to the WiFi infrastructure to fix them. I’d still experience connection issues from time to time but it was manageable and wouldn’t stop me from booking again. Toney was a responsive and proactive host. Very walkable too as it’s close to NW 23rd Ave.
